Default Presentation box

I have aquired an old S&W lockable wood presentation box that a n frame 6 inch gun will fit in and I am curious as to what it may be worth. Any information about it would be appreciated.

That looks like a Magna Classic case - it should be a 7 1/2 inch barrel - measure to where the cylinder face would be. The space in the lower right is for extra interchangeable front sights and a seralized card fit in the top of the case. They did both a Model 29 and a Model 629.

It is for a 7 1/2 like you said, But it also looks to be round butt. A 6inch 28 square butt won't fit in it.

The Magna Classic revolvers have a round butt.

value is difficult to guess. The 7.5 inch Magna Classics are fairly scarce and nothing else would fit it. I would guess that very few people have the gun but not the box.

I would probably put it on eBay or gun broker for auction starting at a dollar with no reserve. The free market will assign a value in one week.
