yes, that's the Ultra Thin knife, Model 6063 with the clip point style. It also came as a drop point, model 6064. It could also be obtained with fancy etching as a custom item. These were made for S&W by an outside the plant supplier, Vermont Knives, circa 1975. Ed
Yes,

The Ultra-Thin knife was introduced in 1980.
Brochure from 1983. The Ultra-Thin knife had a suggested retail of $23.95
I remember in the later 1980s Smokey Mountain Knife Works had a sale on the S&W knives, as I recall I bought all but the Shooter's Knife, Boot Knife and one of the Mavericks from SMKW.

Had the 6065 with the screw driver back in 80s I believe. Not bad. Suppose to be good for adjusting iron sights. Wish I could find it.

Sorry to resurrect an ancient thread but after spending too much time in the pistol and revolver sections took a cruise over here for a look. I found the two knives I've had forever (well since the 80's anyway) the 6041 and 6042. But now the question, do you have any idea what these knives are worth today? And did Smith make these or were they contracted out? Thank you, Bill

I have never understood the etiquette of resurrecting an old thread. Is there some reason people need to post zombie pictures and make mockery as if you have committed an internet faux pas? You apologized in a way that it seems this is not a very serious crime.
Sorry I don't know what they might be worth but here is a link to an article from 2016. You might enjoy researching the history of Taylor Brands also. It's "breaking news from 2016":
BREAKING: Smith & Wesson to Acquire Taylor Brands and Launch New BTI Tools Sub-Division >>

First thanks for the information and sorry if I caused any heartburn with my post. That was not my intent its just that some times gold can be found on old threads.

I bought this a few years back. Almost looks like a mistake or, a mini straight razor huh?

They used to bring $30-$40 if you had the original packaging and sheath with the knife.
I believe all of this series of knives was made in the U.S.A by S&W at their Houlton, Maine facility. Later examples were made and sold by Vermont Knife.

That knife is one of the hundreds of variations of made in China "Smith & Wesson" knives Taylor Cutlery has introduced and marketed in last 30 years.
