Hello knife collectors
I知 new to this subsection. I hang out in HEs 1896-1961. Anyway, 3 S&W knives showed up at my LGS and I acquired them. I知 wondering if the prices quoted on page 472 of the 4th edition of SCSW are accurate? They are new in the box , all leather sheaths, all paperwork, tissue paper, warranties, etc. Unfortunately 2 of the knives had green gunk on them, which I took off. Probably should have let someone else do it.
Model 6020 nib, slight brass discoloration, perfect blade. Leather perfect.
Model 6070, nib slight brass discoloration, perfect blade. Leather spotted.
Model 6060, knife perfect, leather spotted.
All three boxes like new.
I am not a knife guy and I thought these should go to someone who can appreciate them. I have never used the want ads on the forum but I think that痴 what I値l do.
Anyway I appreciate any info or advice you offer. Thanks Dave

50% to 75% of what the SCSW 4th edition says is more realistic. Of course, some people go crazy on auction sites.

Dave,
The green gunk is called verdigris. It loves brass and I find it on many knife sheaths and gun holsters, especially around the snaps. You definitely need to remove it because it can cause real problems. Lucky, it isn't difficult to remove.
