Default S&W Model 29 Airsoft

Does anyone else have one of these Model 29 airsoft replica's? I bought it from an online auction last night. Made in Japan by nissinsangyo.co
Thanks, Boats

Saw one in an online auction couple weeks ago - maybe the one you bought. Looks like a close replica of the Model 29 at first glance. Ed

I like it!
Airsoft guns have some interesting uses… I wore one to an Indiana Jones-themed costume ball a few weeks back.

My understanding is the Japanese makers are top tier, then the Taiwanese, then Hong Kong and then mainland PRC. It that is true, you probably got pretty good fidelity.

Mine aren't airsoft, but BB. Made by Uramex, they look and feel a lot like the real thing.

Model 29, with the 8 3/8" barrel.

Model 29, with a 3 1/2" barrel.

I actually think of them both as more of a 27 myself due to the size of the holes in the barrels and cylinders. You load the CO2 cartridge into the grip, the load the BB's into brass "cartridges." From there they load and shoot like the real thing, just with a lot less expense, noise, and recoil.

Just to show off a couple more, I've got a 5" Schofield...

And just for real grins and giggles, an M&P semi.

Any real use for them? Not really. I ordered them over the Covid period, when I couldn't get out like I normally did, so I was bored. I knew they were guns I'd never actually lay out money for, so I sort of thought of it as building a "gun collection" on the cheap.

Might as well show this one too...althought I'm sure most people have seen it.

Thompson sub-machine gun...CO2/BB. This was the first one I got, and it was so much fun, I got started down the slippery slope.

I don't shoot them a lot, but they are fun. They'll roll a can around pretty good.

Edited to add: Note, with the exception of the Schofield, and the Thompson (of course) these are all licensed by Smith and Wesson.

I have a M14 17 cal. pellet/BB rifle I bought a couple years ago. Semi auto action, C02 powered. magazine fed, 16 pellets/BBs. Marked Winchester so must be approved by them. Cost was $200. Fully adjustable rear sight and packs a whallop at 50 yards. It has fooled a lot of people thinking it was a real M14! Sorry I can't post photo.

Cajun, that Schofield looks great. Any idea if those are still offered any place? I took one of the old cheapo Daisy, I think, pellet Python’s to Germany when we moved there back in the late 90s and have since lost track of it. There has always been a little empty space in my heart of hearts since then

They show at least a couple different models on Pyramyd Air's website, which is where I've gotten all mine. The Schofield's run 100-125 or so. They work just like the original's Push the rear sight up to break the action. The empty's are ejected automatically. They're in no order on the website, so you might have to scroll around a bit.

Great post. I wondered if anyone was interested in in blank firers & airsoft.... then I found this. This is part of my collection. The bling ones are GG, the other is 8mm blank. I have a 40 year old 8mm(blank) Browning Hi Power in bits as too much drying firing snapped the trigger spring and I cannot find a new one.
