S&W Poster from Circa 1965
Hi All
This S&W Poster is hanging from the notice board at my local Pistol Club here in Australia. The owner of it, told me that it was given to him around 1965 by Hoffnungs Wholesale. They were the Smith & Wesson distributors at the time.
Does anyone else have any additional information on the background of these posters? Are they fairly common in the US?

There were given out by S&W to distributors around the time you mention. They are not real rare and show up occasionally on eBay or at gun shows. I sold one in 2021 at the last S&WCA Symposium in Tulsa, OK., for about $35 US. Ed

They are not from the 1960s, but the 1950s. This one is the second type you have shows the model 41 The first type does not. They are fairly rare here in the states. I forgot to add, the shooter is Captain Harold Devine, Head of Smith & Wesson Security.

Pretty cool. Back when the game of bullseye ruled the handgun competition scene.
