Default Need Help Id'g Sanderson & Roper grips ?

About 20 years ago I purchased the following grips. THe nicely fit my Model 17 so they are K frame. I'm looking to reduce my S&W stuff, but I don't know what these are or their worth.
1. The first one is a thumbrest type TARGET grip, walnut I think with the number 53 stamped on the inside. there is a cut out for the strain screw.
2. The second one is also a thumbrest target grip that has a cutout on the back strap. there is no marking or stamps on the inside
I didn't tighten the grip screws as I didnt want to damage anything. Both are in excellent shape and look great on my K Frame These have never been used by me and only put on guns to take these pictures. Beautiful!
Pictures of the secons set of grips is in the response below
Thanks for your help
John

Bad set to is nowhere close to Roper.
Herrett maybe.

Grip 2 is definitely Herrett. I have several (7 sets for S&W and Colt). They usually sell in the $75 range. They were custom made to fit the individual that ordered them so it is hit and miss as if they will fit your hand properly. I went thru quite a number of them that I found at gun shows until I came up with some that fit my hand fairly well. I never ordered any from Herrett because I was too cheap.

They'd probably sell for between $300 and $400 if you listed them on ebay. If you go that route, make sure to post a good photo of the back. Most Sanderson stocks have a number stamped on the back of each panel. That was done to keep the two panels together and insure the customer received the correct stocks fitted to his hand.

Thank you S&W Chad I appreciate your input. Yeah they have a number 53 stamped on the inside so legitimately Sanderson.

Thanks for the information Mike even though it's not the greatest of news I now know what they are. I appreciate you answering my question. John
