Default Sight adjustment tool. SAT

Just received this from ebay as I thought it was neat. When were these keychain screwdrivers/sight adjustment tools issued/sold/available from S&W?

Thanks, Scott

These are from the 1980's. There were two styles. You have style #2. #1 had a hole that was too small to hang on a chain. Few #1s were made. Some #2s were nickel plated.

I remember these as freebies at the Shot Shows, circa 1980s, etc. Ed

Great display! Whats the story behind the long handled one at the top?

I got it from a graduate from the Armors School. He told me that he and his classmates complained to the instructors that the sight adjustment tools were too small for their hands. The next day when they showed up for class, they each had one of these on their desk. One more for your enjoyment, an ivory handle SAT.

Ialso have one of those elongated oval shaped ones. It's in an unopened cleaning kit that is in the box of my unfired 686.
