Got this on a "too good to pass up deal". Lovingly refinished with Alumahyde II from Brownells.

Great job on the refinish. I really liked the S&W 3000. The guns I shot seemed better finished than the 870s of the same era. I never bought one but shot them in law enforcement shoots back in the 80s. I regretted not buying one when I had the chance. Have fun with it.

Nice job on that old girl, looks good! I have an old wood stocked M 3000 police riot, parkerized finish, the old gal works just fine and servs as my bedroom gun.

That's a Speedfeed stock. It came to me with it. It was kinda scratched up, so I refinished it in Coyote Tan Alumahyde II. Looks much better now.

My current patrol shotgun is a S & W 3000, wood furniture, Blue finish, not parkerized, 18 inch cyl bore. I recently located a 2 shot mag extension and will put that on her directly. . Works great, looks great. Joe in GA.

I worked in a gun shop when those were current. We sold a bunch of them, and the model 1000 semi auto. Very nice shotguns.
