Yhe USN Anchor gets displayed when you set up your profile in the User CP. If you select military/navy.
The other Avatar of the plane is a custom uploaded pic I did.

Have been busy lately. I've just dropped off the rifle at the shop this morning.
It should be a couple weeks, I'd guess.
I will post the update, as soon as I get the rifle back.

Too much fun, not enough time.
Here's my 15-22 with a Hogue free float handguard. Threaded Yankee Hill flash Supp. And QD Tactical scope. Next is MagPul grip and stock to match my MOE M&P 15. I added a riser to the scope so the crosshirs co-witness to the BUIS peep sight.
I also got the sling adapter from Isreal. They threw a sling in with it. Great adapter, smooth, fits great, looks good.
It is terrible being a machinist and owning these rifles. The fun never stops.
When will this madness end????

What scope and riser did you use? Looks good. I'm planning on picking one of these up this weekend, and definitely like your set-up.
Thanks

The large pic like you have on the post "Large photos?
You don't have to click on it to make it larger, and even then they are still small.
Love the smiley face.

MR .44 Spl.
The scope is an NcStar MARK III Tactical Scope. It has an integrated quick release base on it. I added a riser to the scope body. It is the lighter colored piece. This made the scope co-witness the BUIS and clear it with the sight folded down. I like it co-witnessing so I do not have to change my "set point" when useing different sights. I have this same setup on my MOE M&P 15. I made a few extra risers. They are flat black and hard anodized.
This pic is before I put on my Hogue free floating handguard.

ChatanoogaPhil.
The sight is just a tiny bit under 3/4" from the top of the rail to the top of the sight, when folded down. 1 11/16 when up. It's a Magpul plastic BUIS.
TxShooter2k9.
I got the same thing. Awsome mount and free sling. What is the little pouch supposed to be used for? One of the other posters got a free wind up flashlight with their order.

There's two ways to post photos. One is to attach the photo to the post using the little paperclip icon in the editor, and the other way is to link to the photo from another site using the icon that looks like a photo of a mountain with a yellow sky. Another site may be a personal web site/blog or a photo sharing site. The large photos that you are seeing are linked from another site.

I took Tx's advice and bought this same Barska scope. I just got it this week and will be trying it out this weekend at the range! So far my thoughts are that it looks real nice and fits real nice and was the right price at half off (ebay)! The illuminated reticle seems nice although I haven't put it to real use yet. It's not a heavy scope, but on such a light gun I was surprised how much heavier it got with the scope on!
I haven't put up any pics yet... I'll have to do that after my range time this weekend.

Couldnt be happier with it, very pleased. Highly recommend it. I suggest you get it from the ebay seller, its a great deal, free ground shipping, and if you are not happy, or something is wrong the seller pays for return shipping.

I'm interested in how the Barska works out for you. I hadn't realized that it was a 1x optic. I'm really curious how the parallax affects close range shots.

I think I'm going run mine without optics for a while first. Currently I have a Firefield 5mW GLS (green laser sight) and a Streamlight M3 light for taking care of pesky skunks and possums after dark.

Flash Suppressor add on
cdavis:
Whos flash suppressor?
I got mine at a local gun shop. It is a Yankee Hill Phantom 5C1 Comp/Flash Suppressor, you can order it direct from them. It is threaded 1/2-28. I took my rifle apart and threaded the barrel myself. The threads are indicated to within .001 total indicator reading of absolute center of the bore. It helps being a Moldmaker / Machinist and having all the right tools.
The smaller tactical scope allowed me to keep iron sights on. The larger 50MM scope and the Hogue handguard made me have to remove the iron sights. Not enough room below the eyepiece, and no rail on the handguard.
I'm making some barrel shrouds that will look exactly like the S&W stock pic. They will be threaded for mine and non threaded for my friends who are don't want to have their barrel threaded. I'm making a bunch of other stuff, but this is not the place to advertise.

It obviously has a little bit of weight to it but not enough to notice a real big difference.

My M&P 15-22
I finally modified the stock today so I could fit the sling adapter on it. I finally got up the nerve to take the dremel to it. The polymer underneath is slightly lighter in color so I'll probably paint it if it shows too much.
I have the CC&G Agency sling adapter, Magpul XTM rail panels, Tango Down vertical grip, Magpul MS2 Sling, Streamlight TLR-1 with remote switch, and I just got the Barska 1X30 IR electro-sight.
I was suprised that the with the Barska mounted, that the stock sights co-witnessed in the lower 1/3 of the sight.
Next I want to change the stock and the pistol grip. I was going to get the Magpul flip-up sights but I'm not sure if I will now.

So far so good. It was cold and windy Christmas and I mainly wanted to "test" the gun. My son and I are going tomorrow and we'll get it set tight. I like that once set I can quickly swap to a different range.
I'll post results tomorrow.

What did you have to do to get the sling adapter to work and stay in place without sliding on the tube?

Went out today and put another 600 rounds into the berm. I fired 75 rounds of Federal Auto-Match with zero problems. 75 rounds of Federal Lightning with zero problems. The rest were Federal 550. Near the end I started having some problems I attribute to the fact it was really getting cruddy. Overall I remember two rounds jammed in the mag and 4 crushed rounds, the rest of the minor problems were a few fail to eject, a few fail to fire.
I got the Barska sighted in tight. It worked real well. We were hitting 4” computer hard drive disks and skeet at 25-50-75 and 100 yards consistently. I know the accuracy would be better if I could resist the urge to always squeeze off two or three rounds each time…….
