idk how to post the big pics like everyone so ill attach mine but i finally got mine how i wanted it as you can see in the pics i originally went with a red dot and 3x magnafier but i couldnt get a good sight picture so i went with the barska 22 plinker 3-9x scope and i gotta say my groupings are tight and it is very reliable for a scope under $50. hope you all enjoy the pics.

It still needs a few things, but here it is with a few friends.
M&P 15-22 MOE, with Bushnell TRS-25, Magpul AFG2, sitting in a Blackhawk Sportster modular case.
Springfield XDM-40, with stainless steel guide rod.
Savage Edge in .223Rem, with a Vortex 3-9x scope.

Finally got around to taking pictures of my MOE.
Still not perfect for me, but it's a start. I want to put a reddot of some sort off a 45 degree mount and and a new trigger or at least the JP springs.

mkess I got the rail covers & grips off a seller on Ebay
I have nothing to do with [ Tania's Tactical] except being a buyer of their items, the address to there store is:
Ejection Port Cover, DPMS items in Magpul MOE Grip store on eBay!
Wait until you see what other engravings they do
Right now they only do the rail covers with what I have but the make them in 3 different colors.
The grips are also offered in 3 colors and I'm currently waiting for the set for my RRA LAR Operator 2(5.56)
(dust plate, grip, rail covers, mag release pin, takedown pins, charging handle, trigger guard)
I was to chicken to do it in OD green
Other than the sight(Eotech & magnifier) the RRA will almost look like my M&P 15-22

yeah now that you mention it it just touching a tad bit, probably gonna have to find a higher mount or file down the rail a little bit right?

Get a taller mount. Don't modify the rifle.
Hopefully the scope is still good and the tube doesn't have a crease in it from the upper clamp of the front scope ring. I damaged a scope that way a long time ago.

The scope isnt being forced against the rail or anything, like its touching the rail but then again its not touching the rail if that makes any sense lol

totally worth the effort it took to legally shorten the stock. now all the ladies want to hold my piece. she did have a blast, and she is deadly accurate too. even with the coverted saiga ak syle 223.

Well I think I'm done with my 15-22 "build", save for a barrel shroud. Most of you will notice a lot of HK furniture on it. I love the looks of the HK 416-22 over the 15-22, but no way would I buy the Umarex paper weight, so I imported some Umarex 416-22 parts I got on the cheap.

Hi atreyu66
I love the two tone look (I'm just to chicken to do it in OD Green)
A couple of questions; - Is that a real Eohtech
- What is on the forgrip? looks like a shark? gas petal?

No its not a real eotech, I personally am not a fan of eotech's I picked this up from someone on the cheap for now until I decide what optic I want to actually throw on it. And to answer the second question, its a handstop made by "AVE" I believe, picked it up on ebay. So far it's worked pretty well ( I only use it as a reference point for a more consistent grip) The M&P's big brother has a KAC handstop in the same place so I threw that on just to keep things consistent. Thanks again for the positive feedback.
Speaking of optics what are some options that have worked well for everyone else? I dont know that I actually want to drop several hundred on an optic, but also dont want a real piece of **** either.

vortex optics are nice for the price and come with an unconditional lifetime warranty. mine even came with a spare battery.

I have gone to the Bushnell TRS-25 for both my RRA LAR 5.56 & my M&P 15-22 with a .83 riser or 3/4" lift for an absolute co-whitiness)
Getting real hard to tell them appart now (thats why I did it )
The one I had on the M&P 15-22 was just not bright enough in a bright sunlight setting.
The Bushnell TRS-25 has 11 settings with a 3 MOA dot and its real bright.
Also its...
Water proof to 10'
It clames a 3000 hr on a single CR2032 battery
$90.00 plus $12.95 for the riser(each)
Holds zero on the RRA LAR 5.56 so I figured it would work on the M&P 15-22 too!

I run the same Bushnell TRS25, but I found mine for 69.99 on Amazon. My UTG .83 riser was also ~$8. Excellent sight.

The stock is an AICS 2.0 chassis with some bolt work from SSG, and a Timney 2.5lb trigger. Badger 20moa base & rings, Night Force 3.5-15x50mm mil rad scope. Harris bipod.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Searched around for prices; oh boy, AI stock costs more than everything else combined, excluding the scope
Are there any 22LR that has AWP looking stock?
I'm a 22LR maniac b/c of ammo prices.

If you have a 10/22, you could build this...
Rhineland arms
15-22 picture thread.
AAC pilot 2 on my 15-22
and video of how it sounds with bulk ammo.
Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 with AAC PILOT 2 - YouTube
Will try out some sub-sonic ammo next time out.

The Twins...Finaly
HI Again…here is an update of my Z.O.R.T. weapons
Of course there is a few differences between them but here is a look….
The both have the same hand guards and pistol grips
M&P 15-22
RRA LAR Operator 2 5.56
Both have the same pistol grips (close up)
M&P 15-22 Take down pins
RRA LAR Operator 2 5.56 Take down pins & ejection port cover
RRA LAR Operator 2 5.56 charging handle
And both have the Mag release piece
And a Side by Side Comparison
Really...almost done except...
The charging handle for the M&P 15-22, I want the one from tacticool the one made from aluminum (hope I can get it engraved like the 5.56's) & the B.A.D. lever for the M&P 15-22
Now where are those Zombies....
