So I got my baby back from the Smith yesterday. Super happy with it.
Now with more quiet
It is an old Gen 1 (but blue spring).
Barrel (legally) SBRd to 10.3"
Gen 2 handguard
3GunNation mag well
Hogue 15° PDW grip
Knock off MFT Minimalist stock
King MST/Tactical Quatermaster ambi charging handle
NC Star holo (don't laugh, it works)
Elements .82" Mount N Slot light mount with a Streamlight ProTac 1L (it is a .22 I don't need much light)
MLock rail section with a Tango Down stubby with the compartment screw removed.
Current suppressor is a gutted Airsoft one rebuilt with a basic washer and spacer internal (also legally done). I have a screw mount monocore as well but this one is easier to mount and dismount.

Deer Horn Camo
This camera on my phone does not capture the colors very well. It is a Deer Horn camo. It was a lot of work.

Here is my 15-22 dissiptor mod. It's a work in progress as I need to add a 2inch extention to the OEM gen 1 quad rail to bring it to rifle length, I will post separate how to when it's done. Free floated the quad raiil handguard by removing the plastic factory end cap. The front sight is a YHM 9394 clamp on gas block with flip up sight and bayonet lug. Sight radius is 19 3/4 inches. Mounted the sight 2 1/4 inches forward of the front of the quad rail or 12 inches from the front of the reciever. The buttstock is a Archangel AA125 from my Springfield M1A CQB stock. The charging handle is an aluminum Tacticool22 with Simple Weapons Solutions ambi latch. She wears a Magpul RSA MAG502 single point sling mount just forward of the rear sight. Plan to drill out the rivet and remove the front sliing swivel one of these days. Reversed the safety lever to southpaw, may add a ambi lever in the future as my 13 year old grandson shoots right handed.
I am liking the dissipator configuration so much, that I am considering converting my Delton 5.56 16 inch heavy barrel midlength upper as well.

Not completed yet, I'm going to change the butt stock, and add a AFG, and a sling.

Took my son to a range yesterday and had the privilege of renting a 15-22. We had already talked about picking one up for us to shoot after shooting it I will say we are going to be getting one. It was lots of fun to shoot. I was able to get this grouping at 10 yards.

One of those restricted state 15-22’s, an early production gun. Non threaded and pinned, evil.
I did remove the pin in the stock though.

Big Bro and Little Bro
After 10 years of waiting and searching finally acquired the mp15-22p. Still got more mods to do to get it where I want it but I'm super excited that I finally got my hands on one!

Good score on that 15-22p. I had a chance to buy one a few years back and passed on it. I regret it now.

Yeah man I hear ya. When I bought my rifle 10+ years ago, it was between the rifle and pistol. I regretted getting the rifle first once I found out they stopped producing the pistol. So happy I finally got my hands on one! It ran me $550 + the FFL fees, which for a discontinued gun like this felt pretty reasonable! Now it's time to sink some money on spiffing it up!

My M&P 15-22
my Very first AR platform-style weapon. I am enjoying it and adding features I like, best for myself.
Replaced the scope with a red/blue/ green crosshair sight. with second sight on top of it.
compensator.
2 point strap.
fuichi led flashlight.
wish.com vertical grab handle.
flip-up sights.
new buttstock on its way. I don't like the big hole in the original buttstock.

Nice! what is that behind the red dot? A magnifier?
Btw, now you just need a Franklin Armory binary trigger for it.

It's a Chinese knockoff of the Accutact Anglesight. It lets you aim and shoot around corners. The legit one costs around 250, but the knockoffs you can get on amazon for around $30. It's a simple clear acrylic cube with a mirror lens running at a 45 degree angle in the middle, mounted to a swivel. It works similar to how you can flip your rear view mirror up to dim headlights that are behind you. besides shooting around corners, another fun use is to rotate it in the opposite side so someone can stand next to you as you shoot and see how you're lining up your shots.

Hey Folks! Totally new to the forums and long gun ownership. My first is the 15-22. I have caught the upgrade and upfit bug after just a few range days. I am awaiting the last of all the stuff I can change/upgrade to arrive midweek this week. After I am done I will post a few pics with an itemize list of what changed. Looking for feedback and advice. I know I went to the edge with this one. Thanks.

WARNING! it is easy to get the addiction and before you know your hundreds of dollars into just fixing up your gun.
Every time you look at an AR15 you will think, wow, I'll bet my 15-22 would look cool with one of those, or look cool like that.
It can become like a gambling addiction or like any other addiction, suddenly your wanting to replace every OEM piece on your gun till you've created FRANKENSTEIN'S 15-22.
Use extreme caution my friend.

Purchased October, 2020 - pretty hard to find recently with the pandemic/election panic-buying and whatnot.
M&P 15-22 Sport
* Magpul flip-up sights (stock)
* Adaptive Tactical replacement adjustable stock with extra-thick butt-pad.
* Xaegis M-Lok bipod.
* Angled front foregrip
* Inexpensive green laser sight on offset Picatinny rail mount (so it doesn't obstruct the sights)
* 3x25-round magazines and 1x10-round magazine
Extremely fun to shoot!

Good news my dude… I was shocked and stoked to find out that the mp15-22p is BACK at the last gun show I went to! It’s slightly different from the gen 1 as they all come with a permanent faux buffer tube/arm brace combo now instead of the gen 1’s QD pop switch hole at the butt of the gun, and a longer barrel. Personally I love the gen 1 pistol variant better but I’m totally considering adding a gen 2 to the collection cause it’s a sweet middle ground between the two!

Just a joke. It was NY compliant at the time before the SAFE Act made it a crime to own. It was then considered an AW.
The stock was pinned so as not to be adjustable. AW. Came out in less than a minute.
No flash hider allowed either, I left it as is.

I've got one of those things. I've never shot it, but it's here. About as basic as they come I suppose. I saw it at the LGS on sale and thought "I should have SOME kind of AR type rifle I suppose." Since I have several thousand rounds of 22 ammo stashed away I suppose I should shoot it someday. I just hate to shoot 22's at the indoor range. They need to be shot outside, at cans and such.
