Aw man, you guys are killing me!!! I am on the waiting list at my local dealer for one of these!! I saw one the other day at Gander Mountain, but it was priced at $499+tax. I passed because my dealer is quoting me a price of about $425. I have three mags ordered from S&W and I just saw a guy on AR-15.com that had four NIB mags for sale and I bought two of them for $20 each. I sure will be glad when I finally get one of these rifles!!!!!!!!!

My dealer called me today....said that he finally has a 15-22 on the way for me. It'll be here Wednesday, but since I'm going to be at work, I won't be able to pick it up until Friday.

How'd you get that flash suppressor on their?
Did you have someone thread the barrel or did you get one that goes on via a set screw?
Mine should be arriving Friday so I am hoping all goes well.

Looks like he used one of these -
Scherer Muzzle Brake Adapter AR-15 Steel Blue - MidwayUSA
There are 2 styles. 1 for an AK and 1 for an AR. The AK one will not fit the AR. I found out the hard way. Guy at the gunshow said it would, but it won't

Here's mine!! I put a Hogue grip on it, along with a NC Star LED light, and an Osprey red/green dot sight. I LOVE this gun. I just ordered two more magazines for it too. The sling is made by Outdoor Connection, I got the piece that connects to the rail from a guy I know, I'm not sure where he got it. I keep this gun by the bed at night, I hate LED lights on my pistols. I know it's not the ideal gun to use for home safety, but if this didn't do the job, I've got a few more pistols to break out on em!
You can still see the red dot sight with the iron sights on the gun, you can't really tell but I tried to get a picture of it. That's another thing I like bout the red dot sight.

The adapter was 19.90 to my door. Everywhere else there anywhere from 35- to over 40 dollars.

Wscruiser, what do you think of the red dot? It looks like the 42mm red/green dot that I just put on my 15 22. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet (on call).

I haven't actually had a chance to shoot it very much since I've put it on. But, I've used basically the same Tasco red dot on a 22 target pistol for a good while. I have always been happy with it on the pistol.

Heres a couple new pics of mine, 3-9 Barska Compact Tactical scope. Also i ordered a front rail sling adapter from ebay, which i got today, i open the box, had the adapter, not only that, they gave me a sling, and a little crank up LED flashlight. I thought that was real cool of them. Heres a couple of pics.

Getting closer to the final.
Surefire G2Z and LaRue offset mount were added, after the above picture was taken.
Awaiting for flash suppressor and, may be, trigger upgrade.

I lost my MP 15-22. I let my 11 year old daughter shoot it for a couple of hours and when we finished she said "this is my gun now."

I'll be truthful I bought the $40 red dot sight and $15 riser years ago for my CZ .22LR dedicated upper. Horribly unreliable. Sight and riser ended in my parts box.
I've used a riser so rarely I don't know how the "height" is measured. The riser lifts the sight 3/4" above the standard rail. Top of the standard rail to the top of the riser rail when mounted.
The red dot is nicely co-witnessed with this 30mm tube. Red dot is split on the tip of the front sight post when looking thru the irons and both zeroed at 50 yards.

919,
The Promag 3/4" riser works just fine for co-witness with the red dot. Got mine at Acadamy.

ok here it is finally.. didn't get the chance to do much shooting before dark but i put 25 rounds of mini-mags through it with no problems at all. I set my target up at 25 yards and shot 5 times that group could be covered with a nickle. i moved my scope and shot 5 more once again could be covered with a nickle. this was standing with a rest off a tree. i then moved my target to 50 yards and sat down and the bench using a block for a rest, after getting it in the circle at 50 i shot more shots that could also be covered with a nickle. this was in freezing cold weather, almost dark and the first 15 rounds ever fired out of the box. i am way more than satisfied and will have much more to post tomorrow night. any way enough with the talk. heres the gun

NEW SMITH & WESSON 36" TACTICAL RIFLE CASE U30136 - eBay (item 250525213412 end time Dec-01-09 15:46:18 PST)
i must say it is awesome. it has the smith and wesson logo on the front. has two moveable straps on the inside to hold the gun and a big pocket on the front with a removeable 3 magazine holder in it. very easy to carry with the shoulder strap too.
