Winchester 555 runs great in mine. In fact, it is one of the most accurate ammos I've tried. I actually bought 3 boxes of it today.

Well, went back to the range today. It was rather windy and gusty so I only fired about 75 rounds. I tried the Federal bulk today. I had 6 or 7 FTE's/stovepipes. 1 after the 2nd shot fired. I cleaned my gun really good last night. So, guess next time I will try the Blazers and see how they do. Good thing is, the Federal bulk and the Federal American Eagle's that my 15-22 doesn't like, work just fine in my M&P 22 pistol.

Ran 250-300 rounds of Remington Golden Bullets (purchased in the last month or two) through last Sunday. Few failures to lock the bolt back and pretty dirty/smoky but overall they ran through the gun ok. Not my first choice but good enough for now. Gun is pretty new. It's been cleaned a few times and had only about 125 CCI MiniMags through it a couple weeks before (0 issues with them, a few issues with 2 of 3 ProMags that were easily fixed by a bit of filing on the latch area).

Bulk Remington Golden
I just purchased the M&P AR 15-22 and I must say that I love that rifle. I could only find the bulk Remington Golden bullets. Fearing the worst I planned for a terrible day at the range. To my surprise i had probably only 2 FTF. Between myself and my sons we put about 600 rounds in two days of shooting. Very pleased. We were very conscious of how we loaded the magazines making sure that each bullet was seated in the magazine properly and everything seemed to work fine.

They guy I bought my 15-22 off of the other day said it wont run golden bullets worth a c rap.
I shot CCI standard velocity and Winchester M22 the other day and it was fine.
I have a brick of Golden Bullets so I will have to run some through it and see how they work.

Golden bullets are no problem in mine and come to think of it I really haven't had issues with any ammo except my 45 ACP and 9MM which just don't seem to feed right in the 15-22.

When I first got mine it hated the golden bullets, I even had a couple OOB's with the GB's and it had a lot of FTF with these and the Winchester 555's. But now that it's had a couple thousand rounds through it it feeds every thing. Mine is very accurate with the Winchester 555's too bad I only have a couple hundred rounds of it left. I'm saving those for squirrel hunting which this rifle is very good at

After S&W replaced my blown extractor and trigger springs ( i have an early model gun ) i received a letter from them enclosed with my repaired gun stating mot to shoot Reming ammo of any kind as they would not cover any repairs if using that ammo. So to this day its been american eagle and winchester or cci and NO ftf or fte.

5-6 diff ammo types and no issues except with low velocity sub sonic stuff, to be expected. loading them in the mag incorrectly could be a cause of some issues, I think.

I have had no FtF misfeeds or stovepipes from my CCI subs, however I have put a rather expensive Timney drop in trigger group in my 15-22, not sure how much effect this has...

Loaded 4 magazines with Federal American Eagle and shot 100 rounds through a brand new M&P 15-22. Fired flawlessly as fast as I could pull the trigger.

Great Q. I've scored several boxes of these but haven't run them through the rifle yet.
So far I haven't had an issue with anything I've fed'r.

Before I started shooting suppressed, I shot a fair amount of this and still use it in my Buck Mark. Granted, my 15-22 doesn't seem to be picky with ammo, but this M-22 did (and does) real well for me. It shoots as clean as CCI for me. The ammo is clean & not all greased up plus the black bullets look cool. I especially love you get it in batches of 1000. This selling 100 or 50 at a time is a joke.

Been pleased with most ammo
My 15-22 has had no real issues with any ammo I've been able to track down since I picked it up in April.
CCI Standard, Sub, and Mini-mag have all run flawlessly.
I've shot Remington GB and Thunderbolts with only a few FtF and the GB not holding the bolt open on the last round.
Winchester 333 have been surprisingly clean good rounds.
I think QC may have gotten better as less and less newer 15-22's seem to have any real issues firing most bulk ammo.

When I find out I'll let you know! Technically CCI Quiet rounds don't cycle but that's kinda expected.

I have just over 9,600 rounds with my 15-22, using all kinds of different ammunition. My failure rate is .28%, with most of those being failures to fire. Those I can attribute to the rounds and not the rifle. So far, mine eats anything and everything!

I stay away from anything under 1200fps. Have 550 rounds through mine (500 CCI Mini-Mag and 50 Remington Vipers) with zero issues.

I have tried three different subsonic rounds with the 15-22, all without any failures...
Aguila SSS 60g LRN @ 950 fps
Remington\Eley Target Rifle 40g LRN @ 1050 fps
Remington Target 40g LRN@ 1150 fps
I have a few different types I hope to try out soon. Of course, these are my results, and others may not have the same success.

Do you realize your most accurate 22lr ammo is usually subsonic? Check out the expensive match ammo. Do you realize that most of us that shoot suppressed use subsonic ammo? I almost exclusively shoot subsonic ammo, normally CCI Standard Velocity at 1070fps, and my 15-22 could care less.

I understand the use of subsonic but I do not shoot suppressed. I'm not doing any competitions with my rifle, simply enjoying it. From reading what's around here i understood the consensus was anything 1200fps should work with no problems. That's what I want, no problems.

So Far!
CCI Green label
Eley subs
cheap magtec subs,
Remington standard and high velocity

Every one shot and fed flawlessly.
I am loving this rifle.
All of the above shot with and without a sound moderator
Outstanding groups with the CCI Green lable.

Yes, the consensus is anything above 1200fps works, but that does not mean that anything under that speed causes issues. Likewise the consensus is subsonic ammo works great too... especially those above 1000fps.
My point is only to clarify. Your post implies that subsonic ammo might cause issues in the 15-22. It simply does not. It is used by many shooters... some almost exclusively. You have put 500 or so rounds thru yours. I shoot that much subsonic every week, and have no more issues with it as with the high velocity stuff. Actually, I seem to have more issues with hollow point mini-mags than anything. It goes at 1260 fps, so go figure.
I think a better way to word it is the consensus is any good ammo above 1000 fps will work without issues in the 15-22. Every gun is different & a very few appear to have more issues than most, but from my experience & from what I've read here, few should have issues with anything running above 1000fps.

Yep, that is some good ammo. I have a few thousand rounds of it and guard it closely. As I'm sure you know, it is the cream of the crop of the CCI Standard Velocity production run. The best becomes Green Label & the balance normal Standard Velocity.

We Don't have a rimfire ammo shortage here in the UK fortunately and the green label is plentiful here as most people consider it too expensive but it is such good fodder for serious target shooting! All the more for me!

I have shot CCI Mini Mags and Winchester without issues. I have not tried anything rated sub 1200fps.
I have some Aguila Interceptors, but have not tried them yet. They are MV 1475fps and a 40 gr Bullet. I shot them out of a Ruger MarkII and broke the hinge on the bolt stop post. So, I have been a little reluctant to feed them to my M&P-15 .22LR. Concerned about battering and spring strength and durability. Anyone have any experience with these in their M&P-15 .22LR?
I read a post here about a test firing for accuracy, which demonstrated good accuracy, but made no comment on wear and tear to the rifle.

I haven't tried any 45-70 yet, but I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't work very well and would probably kill the shooter.
On a serious note, the only ammo I had problems with was some CCI Mini Mags. I had shot them before with no issues, but I had a batch that wouldn't feed properly and seemed to have an excess of wax coating (or whatever the coating is) on the rounds which might have caused the issue. In the end I mostly shoot the Federal Bulk Packs you find at WalMart which work well.
