It has been a while since this subject was addressed. Has anything changed, is there any aftermarket source for parts for the 15-22? Specifically, firing pins and extractor springs and plunger. Has S&W decided to sell parts or do we still need to return the entire rifle to them for something as simple as a firing pin?
Only part that I'm aware of is Volquartsen Extractor. Numrich will on occasion have OEM extractors, plungers and springs in stock. S&W is hit or miss getting just parts, all depends on the rep you talk to. Seems 80% of the time they just want the rifle sent in.
I did get them to send me a firing pin and spring instead of shipping the rifle back, but I think that's a bit unusual. Most of the time they want it sent in. Maybe it depends on which CS rep you get to talk to.
