Numbers
I bought mine two weeks ago DVA9000
Two hundred fifty round thu it, had a few miss fires but the more I fired it the better it got. Plus I cleaned the heck out of it, was very dry, couple of drops here and there seemed to make everything work better, next round will tell.

like a puppy in the window...
When I walked into the gun shop to pick up my AK I saw this little rifle and thought how lonely it looked in with all of the large caliber guns. I picked it up, and like a puppy in the window I immediately became attached with it and had to take it home. So I now own an m&p 15-22, the runt of the litter but one of my favorites. No issues so far model # DTZ20227

Here's an update on my DTZ that I got last summer.
FTE problems started occasionally, but increased through the fall to more than one per magazine. I tried switching to CCI minimag. Then I had some cartridges hitting the feed ramp, leaving a gouge on the bullet and bending the cartridge. I also had cartridges fail to feed out of the magazine and the base would get jammed requiring them to be forcefully removed. You can see gouges in the plastic of three of my magazines where it happened.
I stopped using it and it is going back to S&W.
BTW, registering and sending in for warranty is super easy. You can do it all on-line at the S&W website. Submit your warranty info, then fill out a warranty service request. They e-mailed me a RMA and FedEx shipping label a couple days later.

thats what worrys me about getting this gun im in the uk and if it does go wrong i cant send it back to s&w.
the guy in the gun store said hes never had a problem or heard back of a problem with any hes sold as there all the latest batches and the problems been fixed.
can anyone confirm a new batch with the threaded barrel that went wrong?

Here is a pick of mine at the range.
MOE Model with a Barska Illuminated Red Dot, AFG2 and a standard GI issue sling. Eats any 22LR you feed it.
Love it, everyone needs at least one in their arsenal.

No matter what there is always going to be a chance of an OOB and lost extractor, but that doesn't require sending the rifle back to SW. I have not heard of much being done by SW with returned rifles other than springs or extractor. That kinda stuff or an ejector tweak most any hack at a gun shop can handle as long as SW will send the parts.

yeah the guy at the gun store said if it does go wrong he will even fix it for free in the first 12 months so that more reassuring
also what does OOB stand for?

I have only ran about 500 rnds of CCI mini mags through mine due to weather, but have not had one problem. This gun is more addicting than my other guns and I think is worse than crack

Purchased DVE6xxx on 4 FEB 2011; Standard Model, although it came with a 10rd mag as purchased in MD (also, action has blue spring).
Put 250 Federal 36gr Champion through it two weeks ago and it ran great--no jams, no feed or extract problems--ran reliably. I plan to put about 500 through it in about a week. Did not like the factory trigger--too heavy and a lot of mush, so I replaced it with a Timney Single-stage 3lb for a crisp trigger pull and a clean drop. I had some Magpul furniture left over from previous AR builds, so that went on the M&P15-22.
Started out as a S&W M&P15-22 Standard Model (unthreaded barrel, w/ 6-*** adjustable stock)
Upgrades Done:
- Magpul CTR Stock
- Magpul Extended Buttpad
- Magpul MOE Grip
- Magpul AFG
- Magpul XTM Rail Covers
- Timney Single-stage 3lb Trigger
- Vortex Sparc Optic (w/ Removable 2x Magnifier)
- Daniel Defense QD Sling Swivel Rail Mount
- (incoming) Tacticool22 Long Barrel Shroud (for looks)
- Removed factory rail mount iron sights
- (possibly some Magpul MBUS sights, but they tend to be weak material in the rail mount--from AR experience)

Just picked mine up today ...DVA31XX - Threaded Barrel STD verision W/ Blue springs.... Just shot 50 rounds of CCI Mini mag through it. only ran 50 due to a magazine jam, at least it appeared to be due to the magazine, fingers crossed. I will know more tomorrow when I put more rounds in it and see if it happens again.
