Thumbs up New owner, my report. Update with pics

*******UPDATE*******

I went out again and have put another 600+ rounds through my gun. I haven't had one FTF or FTE since I stopped using CCI ammo. My gun is a DTX number with the blue stamp.
I have my scope zeroed in at 100 yards I'm very happy with the gun. I'm using a Bushnell 3X9X30 deer scope. I'm not really digging the scope I'm going to change it, just don't know what I'm going to put on it. I'm going to grab a bi pod tomorrow. My only problem is that now I think I need to get the MP15-22's big brother Enjoy the pics.

I'm still waiting on more rail covers. Didn't think I would need as many as I did

I picked up my gun a few weeks ago, so far I have put about 1200 rounds through it. Mine came with the flash hider. I bought CCI ammo and Fed bulk. The Fed ammo shot great put about 200 rounds through it no problems at all.

Then I went to CCI ammo and out of the first 25 rounds 4 fed into the gun. The tip of the ammo was bending back and making a u shape, when it would try to load in to the gun. I loaded another 25 and same problem.

At this point I was like oh ****, so I loaded the Fed ammo and not 1 problem. I could have had a bad batch off CCI ammo, but with about 1200 rounds of the Federal bulk Ive only had 2 or 3 FTF. I haven't had FTE. I put and extra scope from a hunting rifle on it. It's a great gun to shot with.

Federal has worked best for me too.
You get a few duds, but it feeds great.
Congrats on the new toy, they're great fun.

With these guns it seems like most of the problems are with the mags and how they are loaded. I know some of the cci mini mags I have bought have a large amount of wax or something on the tips of the bullets. I have had problems with these as well. The wax kind of sticks up the bullet passage in the mag. If you clean a little of the wax off they seem to feed better in the mag. I have been shooting the fed bulk packs from wallmart and the mini mags, but prefer the fed because of the price. I hope this will help you and have a good time shooting.

If you want a good scope on the cheap look no further than Walmart.
CenterPoint Adventure Class 4-16x40mm and its $69 with rings and flip up cover included.
http://www.crosman.com/optics/rifles...ure/CPA416AORG

You can search google for reviews, But heres a link to one at another forum i use.
Center Point scopes any good?? - THR

This is no joke, But i like mine better than my $220 3-9x40 Nikon Buckmasters. I even took the Centerpoint off my 15/22 and put it on my more accurate Savage 93BTV17 .17hmr since it could use more magnification. Its just as clear and has more options at 1/3 the price.

What did you use to hi light the lettering on your 15-22?
I like the red for fire/white for safe look.

I added Red, White and Silver to mine... All black rifles scare those that sway to the left.
