Ran across a deal at Dicks for a centerpoint 3x-9x illuminated scope 32mm. Installed it and zeroed it at the range today (as a side - 375 rounds, 2 FTF) - this scope is uncomfortable for me and I need to raise it up.

I am looking for any reccomendations you guys have with regards to risers (also good places to purchase) - Thanks

For a 1/2" riser i love and use this one one my 15/22 and its cheap as heck. This is the link to my order when i bought mine.

Let me say tho the seller isn't the same and the product may not be either. Cross reference any part numbers with the manufactures website to verify the height and item is what you want before buying.

Anyhow NCstar and UTG make decent risers for a low price and Amazon seems to be a decent place to buy from as long as you can verify the exact part specs.

pro-mag 1" is not very nice. It works fine but had ****** finish on the knobs. It looks used but was new.

Thanks. Still shopping around and looking at the pictures thread to see what has worked well for others. Found a Burris PEPR mount that looks pretty good.

AR15 One-Piece Mounts

Below is a PEPR on my 15-22.

The PEPR and other like mounts are designed to accommodate scopes with eye relief of 3.5'' or so on ARs with flat tops to push the scope out far enough. The 15-22 has a quad rail so that's really not a problem anyway. I picked one up because I'm planning on buying a PA 1-4x or Millet DMS. I tossed it on the 15-22 with a red dot cuz I liked the looks.

Why not just taller rings?

Mine are NCStar - $10 at the local gun show

I find a riser useful because it allows the adaption of multiple optics that would otherwise require yet another set of taller rings or simply can't use rings. My Tasco red dot has low rings, BSA red dot has a built in low mount (can't add rings), Bushnell scope has low rings....on and on.... but they all work great with a Tapco 3/4'' riser on my 15-22.

Yeah, but at that point, why not get multiple quick-disconnect risers, one for each optic.

(you know, because you saved so much money on ammo compared to the Bushy that you need to spend it somewhere LOL)

Returns to zero every time. Makes it a snap to switch to irons and back or to remove the scope for cleaning the rifle. Just a thought!

The 15-22 is my first rifle and I currently have a Leaper's red dot on there that I haven't had a chance to zero it yet. I find that I have to really tilt my head (uncomfortably) to make use of the red dot. Do people normally put risers on for these? Maybe my form is off? Thanks guys

I would check with the manufacture and see what size riser you need to co-witness with your iron sites. This will makes things more comfortable for you.

Try mounting the "toe" of the butt plate high on your shoulder. That may work for you.
