Am I selfish?
I had to send my M&P15-22 back for repairs because it wouldn't shoot more than three rounds before fte. I was out a rifle for about 3 weeks. Shouldn't they hook me up at all? Magazines etc? I figured you buy a brand new rifle and have to send it back and don't get it back for 3 Weeks?????? This is my first send back so I'm not sure. Am I expecting too much????

S&W should send you back some mags, and they probably will. I sent my rifle back twice and got a free mag both times. I wouldn't worry about it to much. S&W will take care of you.

S&W is obligated to fix the OPs gun. Anything else is customer good will. From what I have read on the forum here, S&W has bent over backwards to fix the 15-22 in a timely fashion. They pay shipping both to and from their facility. Free mags were a bonus that some got. Even at that some wanted more, ie upgraded flash hiders, etc. The "extras" from S&W will come to a halt, if they haven't already.
Try to get a couple of free mags from Ruger or Sig or XYZ when getting one of their guns repaired. Good luck with that.

I saw a thread here that said they have stoped sending x-tra mags.

+1. Free mags are nice and appreciated, but not an obligation.

They may or may not send you a "complimentary" mag. If they don't, you still have enough mags to tide you over.

Not to throw stones but Ruger actually did send me a free mag and a free hat when my LCP came back from recall. I agree though that S&W isn't obligated to send anything other than a updated rifle back to us. Just sayin' but I think we should show more appreciation for when they do and just be satisfied with a updated rifle if they don't.

I actually think they should at least send a free magazine back with the rifle. I mean I payed a little over $500.00 for the rifle and yeah, they do fix them for free, but come on. They should have tested more and figured out what they needed to do to make the guns work right before they ever thought about selling them to people. I sent a letter with mine asking for a free magazine, so we'll see what happens, I'm supposed to get it back tomorrow. It wouldn't hurt them to send us something for free!
