Well as the story goes, I just purchased my m&p 15-22 and the changes start. Yes many of the usual, but take a look at Tacticool22.com - Products, News, and Resources for .22 Caliber Tactical Firearms for a barrel shroud, looks really cool.

What's the cure? http://smith-wessonforum.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

Welcome to the insane asylum. Addiction yes, cure none. Glad you posted this, I'm considering a barrel shroud but want something thats a little different. It seems like the tacticool22.com and mp1522.com shrouds are identical. Anyone running something different?

EDIT:

Just found another style, but not sure about the "textured" finnish.

Belt_Fed's shrouds require threading if your gun doesn't haven't it done already from S&W, But he does that also. Im pretty sure on that, But he can do so many things its possible he can make them and not require that now.

Whats bad is the 15/22 is still relatively new to the market and companies are just now tooling up for after market stuff exclusively for the 15/22 as most any AR accessory will work also.

Its been said before, But the 15/22 is a Barbie for men.
Dress it up like you want, Draw on it with Crayons, We don't care and do.
Most people here have guns with accessories that cost more and sometimes many times more than what the gun cost.

I cant wait until the make a .223 conversion so the AR guys get jealous. Id prefer .308, But hey there has to be limits to everything!

Hello, my name is 51reva; and I have an addiction..........
My addiction seems to be spreading from the 15-22, to the MP 15. It is like crack; I cannot get enough!(even though my wallet protests!
Jody at Tacticool is a great person. Very helpful/ knowledgeable. I bought the barrel nut wrench from them.

Due work and family related reasons, I will not be able to pick up my new M&P 15-22 until next Friday afternoon.

Having said that . . . I already have in hand a Primary Arms Gen 3 Micro Dot with Flash Kill, Magpul MBUS front and rear sights, Magpul AFG, and a Magpul CTR stock. I have also ordered a Shoo wrench and 5 short 10 round magazines from S&W.

I need to find an end to this madness. For the love of all that is good and right, someone help me . . . . Please.
