I just sent out my M&P 15-22 to smith and wesson to get it repaird after several double fires and jams using the correct ammo. But my question is how long does it take for them to ship it back after the receive it? and Has any one gotten it repaired and still had the same problem? Because I will be very dissapointed since i had a blast shooting this gun!

Mine took seven weeks to have blue springs installed. they also exchanged all my mags.I also wanted to have barrel threaded and compansator installed. S&W sent me a repair quote, I paid via credit card and waited. Got home on thursday, opened fedex box and guess what they forgot to do?thread my barrel! Called customer service ,got a new shipping lable, and sent it right back today. how long am I going to wait is anybodys guess.customer service rep said he would try to rush mine to top of repair list.I wrote that at the least I should have some new 10 round shorty mags for my troubles.

7 WEEKS?!? Man... Anyone know the return policy on firearms for California?

return policy

Wheni called customer service everything they were fixing is covered because of the gun being faulty. I think it is the basic repair that most people send theirs in for so I'm hoping to get it back sooner than later the weather is finaly starting to get nice.

Well I can tell you most of the wait time is waiting for it to get there and for the gun to return home
S&W actually is pretty quick once it gets there
About 2 to 4 days then it ships back to you.
Just remember Fed Ex Ground From Springfield MA to California is gonna be alil more than a week just one way

Bottom Line 2 weeks (1 wk each way) plus repair time

BTW Got mine repaired gun back last week and it was as smooth as butter!!
SO Good that u get your fill of shooting everying time
Instead of driving home thinking "Wish I a few more boxes of Ammo" hehehe

I am waiting for the return label myself, as mine fired OOB a couple of days ago. No damage to the rifle, but decided to get the upgraded springs just to be safe. The only problem I had was when I told the CS rep that it had a Jewell trigger and he wanted me to put the original back in until I asked if Smith was going to cover the gunsmithing bill and then he told me to send it back as is. Also the rep said nothing about includung the mags. Has anyone had any issues with sending back only the rifle and\or sending it back with aftermarket parts?? Thanks

I called today and am waiting for my return label. I was told she will email it to me. Thankfully, I live on the East Coast, so hopefully it won't take long.

I really hope this thing comes back perfect.

I specifically asked if they could e-mail me the shipping label and "David" said no. I said "Really, cause I know people who have and doesn't it save you guys postage?".. "Sorry, no."

Whatever.

After I posted that I decided to call and see what was up with that, since that could potentially save someone on the west coast a week. It turns out only high-ranking CSRs are allowed to e-mail return labels, so if you are planning to send yours back, ask to talk to someone who can do it for you.

It took awhile to get the correct shipping label but mine came back nine days after the Fedex lady picked it up. I live in Alaska. I was very happy with the quick return and 300 rounds were fired without a single malfunction. It's a bummer that a few of rifles are not working properly but Smith seems very willing to make things right. I sent all six of my magazines with the rifle per their instructions and received six of the new type. All in all, I'm a pretty happy camper.

Thanks S&W.

I called yesterday and the lady I talked to emailed me the shipping label. I got it this morning (she said it could take up to 48 hours). So, mine will be headed back tomorrow sometime.

Got it back and im very happy

got my rifle back a while ago just haven't posted a reply. It took about two weeks which in my opinion isn't bad at all but i live in NY so not too far to ship. Put about 500 rnds through it with out a problem.

What do you do for shipping your MP 15-22 back to S&W, if you were a moron and didn't take your shipping box(that it came in)from the Gun Shop? I brought my own case when I picked it up....(a lesson learned!) Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanx!
