Wanted to see if anyone has tried a foregrip with a built in bipod, wondering if there are any out there that are tall enough to clear the 25 round mag. Also, does anyone know of any good reason why one of these is a bad idea vs mounting a normal bipod. Not really looking for anything that will hold up to WW-III, just want a good working bipod mainly for the range, but will be there and work well for the occasional field use too. Any thoughts?

I have the FAB T-POD. It is plenty tall enough for the 25 rd mag, but "wobbles" a bit as a foregrip due to the hinge.

Compared to the other kind where the legs extend out the bottom (Intrafuse), I would say the T-POD is better as a bipod, not as good as a foregrip.

I was wondering about both of those actually, thanks for the info, I think I am looking for something to function as a foregrip first, and just a bipod on occasion.....think I might head over to the dealer and check out the TAPCO grip, pretty sure I saw it in stock over there the other day.....

I bought a real gripod from ebay for about $65. It is really great. Very sturdy you can really lean into it. Make sure it is authentic if you are going to pay more than $20. I see the fakes at gunshows all the time.

I think my current solution is going to be a $9 knock off from amazon just to see if I like the idea....if nothing else, hopefully the grip hold decent so I can give my loaner back.....then I will head to the gun show when it comes back to town to see if there are some higher quality ones that I can actually get my hands on......thanks to everyone that posted the info!!!

The Grippod is a good piece of equipment. I have one that I move between my MP15 and MP15-22. It is very convenient, being a pic rail mounted item with a sturdy wingnut for tightening. On my long range guns I am using harris bipods.

The Grippod has a steel frame inside the polymer legs and it is very sturdy. You can pan a few degrees, maybe 20. I got mine from bravo company for about $70.

Buy cheap, buy twice.

I have the GPS02, the military model, it has the steel skeleton. The LE version is all polymer.
