Magpul Back up sights question
I've been wanting to order them along with the angled foregrip, but I've been waiting for the Gen II's to become available. Their website still only lists the originals, but the PDF catalog lists them both. Has anyone heard when the gen II's will be available for purchase??
thanks.

Talked to them a few months ago when ordering the AFG. They said the MBUS Gen2 was supposed to be available in April. I just sent them an e-mail. I'll post when they reply.

I wonder if they are just trying to clear out existing stock first?
I'm half tempted to just call them and ask.

I haven't got a reply back yet except for the canned auto-reply above.

I am not sure why they haven't released them yet but I do believe the new Bushmaster ACR's come equipped with the MBUS GEN II's.

i should add that I did not get to see his ACR in person just taking his word for it that they are Gen 1's as he was not sure and he compared his to the pictures/drawings that Magpul has on their website. I think the logos are in a different location, and that's how we came up that they were Gen 1's

I wouldnt hold my breath for the gen II's. Magpul has a history of making things seem on the verge of release but they end up coming way way later. Just an example, the MOE+ grip was supposed to be out around a year and a half ago and it still isnt (Midwayusa even has it listed on their website and the in-stock date keeps shifting back every few months). I don't know if Magpul might be closer with the gen II sight or not, but I wouldnt hold up an order for it because honestly you still might be waiting for it another year from now.

Chinese airsoft copies are already released. Quality is obviously going to be much lower, and they copied the Gen1 rear aperture (I read it was getting changed in Gen2, don't know for certain).
