Ammo deal Federal Value Packs $154.99 shipped for 5250rd case take that wallmart
I am probably not the only one here that has been holding out on a decent deal on ammo here. Wall-mart value packs come out to about $20 a brick, this is only $15.50. Enjoy guys and gals.

Smokin' deal
That is a VERY good deal; especially with free shipping. I have been running this ammo in my Model 617s for two years in competition. Only an occasional dud which is not a big deal in a revo.
My thought is ammo and primer prices are down at wholesale level but retailers are trying to keep their prices up. Our local Sportsmens Whorehouse is still asking $36./1000 primers.

That's definitely a great deal considering shipping is included...I recently got a whole case of Federal (same round) for $181 including shipping from Palmetto...

I placed an order (which was accepted by Dunn's) on December 13 and they sent an "order confirmation" by email.
Today, December 15, they called and said the Federal ammo was out of stock and they wanted to substitute American Eagle at the same price. The Federal ammo runs perfectly in my 15-22 so I told them I would just wait on the Federal as ordered and they said ok. I then told the caller I assumed they would not charge the credit card until the order shipped. He said the card was charged when the order was entered. (Actually it was charged to my CC on 12/15). I decided not to loan Dunn's the money til they could obtain the Federal ammo (whenever that might be) and told him to camcel the order and issue a refund to my CC account immmediately.
I could almost hear him breath a sigh of relief when he said OK. Then, less than five minutes later, I got an email from Dunn's confirming the charge of $154.99 was credited back to my CC account.
I'm through with Dunn's.

you should have jumped all over that deal, the american eagle is one of the better .22 ammo out there IMO. they sell for around 22-25 a box here and ive never had a problem with it. P.S. its made by federal.

I shoot nothing but the Federal and after at least 1500 rounds I finally got my first FTL. Shot another 150 or so rounds after without a problem.

Thought I would give you guys an update, I received my order about 5-6 days after I placed it. Price came out much cheaper than wall mart with the free shipping, wall-mart runs me close to $20 after tax. Couldn't be happier

I've never ordered ammo over the internet. I'm slightly paranoid that somebody would investigate me, especially for an order of 5250 rounds. I can see it now...
Quote:
Reporter: And tonight, a local man is being investigated after buying ammunition through the mail. Early reports say the mail delivery person discovered a box containing thousands of rounds of ammunition, all of which could be fired from a hand gun, and may have been intended for the suspect's tactical assault weapon, which is said to be covered with lasers, flash lights, and something called a "reflexive sight" which would allow him to target many victims in a short amount of time. Such weapons, as seen here [shows picture of AK-47 and Vietnam-era M-16], were illegal for ten years and are still banned or regulated in a number of states. The infraction was discovered when the postal employee reported the delivery in accordance with Tennessee state law.
In other news, a study out today in the Journal of Nonsense finds that 10% of people suffering from paranoia really do have reasons for being suspicious.

There really is a law that mailmen have to report deliveries of ammunition.

The way the law is written, apparently anyone delivering mail (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) has to keep a record of any ammo they deliver.
