I juuuuuust picked up my 15-22 ten days ago. I've already decked it out with a Scope Riser, Simmons 3-9x40 Prosport Scope, Leupold Medium Scope Mount Rings, UTG Tactical 8"-13" Bipod, UTG Folding Fore-Grip, Winchester Assault Rifle Case with Pouches for 5 Mags, 4 Spare 25-rd Mags, and about 1,500 rounds of 22LR. I haven't shot it yet... can't... it's my Christmas Present, so the wife says, "NO", until the 25th!

So..... while my rifle and I sit idle... with too much time on our hands... I decided to peruse Midway's website! BAAAAAAD move! Their home page had a sweet looking Simmons Whitetail Classic Rifle Scope, 6.5-20x 50mm, Adjustable Objective, Truplex Reticle, in Black Matte. Regular Cost was $249, and it's on Sale for $109 until the 31st.

I fought the impulse to buy it immediately! I thought, afterall, that I just got this new rifle and gear, so I shouldn't be greedy! So, I waited 5 minutes and hit the "PLACE ORDER" icon. It's good to have self-control!

I'll keep the first one I bought, as a Field Spare. Apparently, Midway only sells these exclusively once a year. I figured for a $140 Savings, why not? I'm Retired!

the original price is more of a fabrication to make it look like a super steal, but glad you're happy either way.

From all I've heard, very good glass for the price range if you don't mind the extra weight (very heavy i guess) and the fact it has a thick reticle (should not be an issue with a .22LR) that obstructs targets at extended ranges. All in all, seems like a good enough scope I am considering one for a 112FV in .22-250.

Holy moly that's a lot of scope for a 22....gonna look sweet! I checked it out and it get amazing reviews too, so people must really like it. Sounds like a great scope for deer hunting.

Make sure you tear down that nice new rifle and clean out the factory goo they put in there. It felt like there was Crisco or lard in mine, haha.

No, THIS is a lot of scope for a .22:

It's shown mounted on one of my big ARs, but it's going on the 15-22 this week for some definitive ammo tests.

It's a Mueller Eraticator (8.5-25x50).

Hehehe, that scope is huuuuuuuge jsimmons! I believe you win the biggest scope contest, haha.

WOW! I'm impressed! Nice lookin' Scope! That looks like a Hubble Telescope on a Pea-Shooter Straw! That thing could probably zero in on a Gnat's Arse Hair, and blow it off at 1K Yards! Poor Gnat!

Cheers!

Well, I received the Whitetail 6.5-20x50 Scope yesterday. Thanks Midway! That was some FAST SHIPPING, expecially with all of the Holiday Packages getting mixed in the mill!

Here's a pic of my 15-22 with the Simmons 3-9x40 Scope, followed by the Simmons Whitetail 6.5-20x50 Scope I added on today.

FYI, I already had a Riser Mounted for the other scope, as well as Medium Leupold Rings. I wanted to ensure that I had adequate room to reach the Charging Handle. Fortunately, the larger scope had enough room without touching the rail. Close... but even with the Scope covers, it didn't touch.

Can't wait to get it out to the Range!

Cheers!

I'm. Pretty sure I still have the title on the largest scope on a rimfire lol

Ask phil he can vouch... its a 8-32x50 with 2 sun shades the scope comes within an inch of the end of the barrel on my 50 meter ruger target rifle

is that the utg tactical op bipod?

GrimReaper!

Yes it is. It's adjustable from 8"-13". You pull the legs out to lock 'em, and then push a button to auto-retract them. Pretty solid Bipod. My wife has a Caldwell Bipod on her Marlin 795, but I like the UTG model better.

Also, the Forward Grip is a UTG folding Grip. It has a storage compartment underneath, in case you want to store extra batteries for a Tactical Light mounted on the 15-22.

Belt-Fed!

No, YOU'RE clearly the winner in the Largest Scope Category! No contest there! That thing is so big, I was wondering if you mounted the Scope to the AR-15, or mounted the AR-15 to the Scope!

Wow! How'd you get the rifle mounted to the scope?!? :D

Wow great thread! Thanks for posting photos of the whitetail mounted!

What riser is that? Also, what is the height of the riser and what is the height of your medium ring mounts?

Bought the Simmons mentioned above for my brother and gave it to him tonight. He was thrilled. I just put together the info to send in for the rebate. That takes another $25 off the price. I think it's a great deal for $75. !!!
