Not soon enough. We are in the prototype phase right now. There are a few kinks that need to be worked out, but WOW!!! That is all.

Almost. This thing is a beast (to design and proto) but will run like butter when perfected.
Did I mention it will load the 10/22 too?
And others.
Sorry so mean.

Knowing your stuff, I'll take one as soon as they're available.

Get me a price on a loader and another free float adapter so I can convert my brother's 15-22.

IMHO price falls last in the list.

i have an UCL for my mark3. it was only $25, and having owned it for almost a decade, i would easily pay $100 for it. but it works that damn good.

so if this device works, and works well, and on 2 rifles (im about to buy some of rugers new 25rd mags) price is my last concern. esp if it keeps me from buying another 10 mags.

Is the speed loader for the 15-22 progressed to a Beta Test Phase in the project life cycle?

The SLA has been made, put together and functions almost perfectly. When it is perfect, we will make the molds.
Close enough is not good enough.

Yes, it work with 10rd shorty's, but it's a little overkill for that.

I live in CALI, which means I spend most of my time at the range removing and replacing empty magazines... I have to reload 2.5 times more than you guys if you think about it. Sadly, the speedloader on my XD45ACP Tactical is slower than just thumbing them in the mag. I hate 10rd regs but I cannot change them so until then I will have an assembly line of shorty mags. It's ridiculous to me that the dammed compliant versions come with a banana clip with 10 rounds in it. I don't get it at all. If you had to reload 2.5 times more than you do now, you would want the fastest way to fill up those mags. If you enjoy wasting time loading mags that is cool, but I don't get out to the range enough, so when I do, I usually drop a bunch of rounds

All good, I just seriously hate reloading. It's easier with bigger bullets. With 22LR it is more of a coordination test than groupings... What really fries me is that the banana style mags dont have the pins that make it easier to load and hold down the spring but the shorty ones all come with them. ***? Can I buy the plug? Was looking for nylon bolts/washers but nobody carries them anymore.

I came up with a simple design for one of these on my way home from work and thought more about it while in line at the DMV. My idea would provide a very fast magazine load and prevent fumbling with individual rounds. I came home and started prototyping and it looked promising. Then it hit me that I should look on this forum to see if it is already being developed and I found this thread

So, I guess I will go ahead and make one for myself and forget about the "mass" production as I don't want to compete with Tacticool22 who has brought such great things to this forum.

So tacticool, if you are looking for any ideas during your final design iterations, I will be up for some brainstorming!

Bump for any updates on a speedloader. Will there actually be one? Can we see a prototype picture or video?

The development has been longer than a year. No pics or videos because I can't give away any information.
I am sure the current loaders for the 10/22 took much less time, but look at how they load.
If someone here has 100K or so that they would like to invest, I am all up for it. Otherwise, please be patient.

K, thanks for the update. I guess it won't be anytime soon. Good luck and let us know if you need any beta tester for your new product. : )

What? You mean you can't just whip them things out in a day? I can't believe that it actually takes time and money to develop something from scratch. Jeezs.

I just use the loader from Black Dog for their AR 22 conversions and there is at least one other brand also because I modified one of those to load the 30 round mags for my Remington 597. Works just as well as they do on the Black Dog mags. Because it is just a follower compressor like some pistol loaders it keeps the rounds under tension so they don't get misaligned like they do using the loading pin sometimes.

If you need funding to finish prototyping, or ramp up production, check out kickstarter.com

It would allow everyone here to "pledge" to buy one and if you raise enough money it goes forward. I've supported quite a few projects on kickstarter, it's a cool site (and business model).

It takes me 45 seconds to load a 25-round magazine and less than 20 to load a 10-rounder. That means I load my 10 big and 5 small magazines - 300 rounds - in a little over 10 minutes.
