Combine that with the recent post I made on dust covers, and now we're getting somewhere!

Dust cover made from factory cover. PICS/VIDEO

Edit: They want $16 to ship that to me. So I'll stick with my steel one for now.

Instead of cutting just the left side off, cut off equal amounts from the left and right.

I thought about that, but the spring has to be firmly attached to the bottom somehow. Cutting off both sides makes more cuts, and needs an extra idea to keep the spring in place.
