Default 1911 grip

wanted to put this 1911 style grip on my 15-22 but not sure if it will work...i know that any milspec grip will fit but not sure about this grip?? anyone use this grip or have any experience with it??

It should work, but it is possible that it might not because the takedown pin spring and detent use the grip to keep them in the lower receiver, whereas the standard ar15 use the buttstock. There is a 99% chance it will work, but if the grip isn't completely solid around the top of the grip it might not catch that spring.

Just when you think you've seen it all....

Ask the seller for a picture of the top of the grip to see if it will capture the springs correctly on the 15-22.

So i tried to purchase this from 72872 - AR-15 Grip Adapter 1911 Style and they wouldn't seel it to me cause my shipping address was in California... thought we could buy this cause its a rimfire?

i was lookin at this on cause it looks like it will hold the springs cause it has the flat top of the grip....

I'm not sure about the laws in California, but I imagine that the seller is just being safe. Anyone could tell them that they are putting it on a rimfire rifle, and then put it on an AR15 illegally. I bet they could get in some trouble.

Thats exactly what happened they just don't ship to cali...

I love everything about california...everything except the politicians!!

That is weird , because you can buy a magpul grip , so what's the difference

When I used to live in Cali I got a few different pistol grips shipped to me no problem. The seller is just a...well you know.

Got the grip and it works perfect with all the springs and everything...now i gotta choose which grip panels i like the best!!

Default lil bit of modifications...

FYI......When u put the grips on you have file/shave the top left of the grip to clear the safe/fire switch...!!
