Also makes a lot of sense why some ammo leaves a finer or grittier residue, and why some brands like cci seem to have more reliable primers.

Been reading Rifleman, on and off, for over 30 years, but never read that one.

And there are those who say you never need to clean the bore of a .22 cal rifle....
