Default installed new grip, lost pin?

Brand new to AR platforms, know ziltch about them, so of course Id find out about the 2 pins after I switched out MOE grip for FAB one. found the video about trigger creep an hour later and saw the guy put in the detent pins and immediately went uh ohhhh and checked my gun to find the safety control pin missing, other pin is there and both springs there. I honestly dont remember being a pin there so I thought id ask about it....it musta fell out right away and I didnt catch it. where can I get a replacement?

Look around your bench and floor.

The selector (AKA safety) detent looks like this:

The takedown detent looks like this:

(Scale is approximate.)

These are standard M16/AR15 parts so they're gunshow parts or at worst Brownells or maybe Midway.

While replacing my grip, I "misplaced" a takedown detent spring.

I called SW customer service to buy a new one. The sent one out for free. It took a month, but it did finally get here.

Two weeks waiting for the part, I just ordered a part from Brownells.

What grip did you install? When I installed my Magpul MIAD grip i though I lost the pin as well, turned out there was a small gap in the grip that didn't allow the spring to seat properly. You could be having the same problem. Easily fixed by filling in the hole hopefully. Good luck.
