I've got the same one as 'bedrockk'. Picked mine up for $16.00 at Bass Pro Shop. Nice affordable case for my first rifle. Excuse the shameless plug for Magpul.
Pro(s): Price, sturdy, lightweight
Con(s): Aside from space for extra mags, there are no pockets to hold anything else.

They're great rifle cases.
I have one like this, made by Voodoo Tactical, and it does the job real well. I have an Olive drab 42" version and it will fit anything from my 15-22 to my Henry H001 and it has room for a couple of handguns as well as mags, paper targets, ammo, hearing and eye protection. I has 1" foam all around for protection and a great design that can do it all.
I also bought another one in 36" and black for my Traveler Guitar and it works great for that with room for accessories and sheet music, it is a great versatile design!

I started with the 36" 5.11 single rifle case which is supposed to hold 2 rifles. It could hold 2 ar15s if none of them had optics.
Exchanged it for the 5.11 42" double case which is huge. It will be good for carrying both my ARs and whatever else rifle(s) I buy in the near future. Im thinking of a bolt action (30-06). I should be able to carry 4 misc rifles

I have both sizes and they are great. Had them for several years now and can't wear them out. I do find the small one a little too small so I usually have the large one with me. It holds everything you will ever need at the range. Wait until they're on sale and you can't go wrong.

I am not a big fan of the hard cases except for traveling. No extra pockets and it gets in the way of shooting if you need to leave it open. With the tactical bags or sporter bags you can pull the gun out, zip it up and still use the side pockets while the bag it sitting up against something. Take that big hard case to any rifle range that is busy and you will wish you did not have it after the first time you use it. There is a reason the military and 3-gun shooters use soft tactical bags and a bonus is the soft bag can be used as a rest for the gun in a pinch. Can't do that with a hard bag. That is one reason the hard cases are on sale a lot.

I use one of their big range bags all the time for pistol matches and when going to a big match out of state because it is big enough to carry supplies for all my 3-gun firearms as well. One thing I did was buy 2 of their pistol cases with the side mag slots and use them in the range bag side pockets instead of the gun only pistol bags the range bag comes with.
Just make sure you buy all you need when they are on sale (which is most of the time anyway).

I gotta love the violin case but in my world I carry my 15-22 in a Blackhawk Tactical single gun case with five external mag pouches and one long external pocket that will take a scope if necessary. I got it at Cabela's for about $45 and the quality is great. It's all in basic black but I understand there is an outfit that will do bags in all kinds of cloth designs so you can carry your tactical'ed-out 15-22 in a Hello Kitty snuggy if you are so inclined (some SOF ops feel it makes them less conspicuous if their "tools" are in something besides black or cammo).

I bought this one from Amazon after much searching for the right size and attachments
Amazon.com: BLACKHAWK! Sportster Modular Weapons Case, 36 -Inch Long, Black: Sports & Outdoors
While it does not have mag pockets it has a divided interior that could hold two weapons or one weapon and whatever I need to carry. The price is comparable to many other cases I looked at and when I ordered it along with my other purchases (Hogue grip, single point sling, 2 point sling, risers, CAA stock saddle and a sling hook mount) I got free shipping. There were other cases slightly cheaper but most of them (after seeing some in real life) just dont have the padding that I think is needed in the sides. Hopefully this will be a quality bag.
