As stated, what do you guys suggest? I just took off my Sight Mark reflex sight, wasn't too fond of it. I was thinking of the NcStar MarkIII with the red dot on top for close quarters. This will be mainly for just shredding paper down range, and zombie squirrels but thats all really. Like to keep it under a buck fifty or so, any input would be great guys, thanks in advance.

There seems to be a number of lower priced scopes that you could get for $150.00 or under. I'm sure you will get favorites from a lot of responders.

My personal favorite in that price range or lower is the Nikon 3-9 Pro Staff. I have a couple & the optics seem as good as my uplevel Leupolds with nice clear optics & the ability to hold a good true adjustment.
That scope is under $150.00 outright & if you watch the online sales or Dicks sporting goods store ads it can be had for as low as $99.00 on sale.

Keep in mind the on most rifle scopes that the parallax is set for 100 yards so 25-50 yards the cheaper scopes can have a bit of parallax off-set. The Nikon isn't too bad but not quite as good as my uplevel scopes. Actually a shotgun scope would probably a better choice for the 22 rifle as most of those have the parallax set at 50 yards.

NcStar MarkIII reviews dont sound that good. Lots of it wont hold zero complaints. But for $50 cant expect a lot.

I think your spelling is a bit off! Some of the guy's on here refer to them as "Barfska" and I concur with that name, enough said!

What about Barska scopes? Anyone had any experience with them?

Curious... why would you be considering a Barska with a budget of $150, in comparison to names like Nikon and Redfield? If you're not interested in a convention styled optic, but rather want something compact or tactical looking, that will narrow the field down greatly. Is that what you're looking for? If so, you might want to take a look at Primary Arms. They sell a compact 3x with a red dot reticle similar to the Burris AR-332. They also make sell illuminated variable power scopes.

The NcStar MarkIII 3-9x are decent scopes, but I might pass on the red dot mounted on it. This vendor has all tactical scopes for .22s. http://rrages.com/

For 150, I'd second the Prostaff Rimfire 3-9x40 BDC 150.

Check out the Nikon P-22 2-7x32 scope with BDC-150 reticle. It has 98% light transmission, and tactical return-to-zero turrets.

I have a Simmons 4x12x44 that I have had good luck with. I like a little higher power for shooting paper at 100yds because you can see what you hit without having to use a spotting scope. I have a 30 year old Tasco 6x18 on a Ruger 10-22 and it does OK also.

i have had the ncstar mark iii for about 6 months now and i works real nice for the 50 yard range i shoot the mp 15-22. I have not seen it lose zero at all so maybe it has been fixed. I think it is just right for the mp but all i really do with it is shot paper zombies. I have a nikon buckmaster 4.5-14 on the 223 and that has a super clear optic but costs a lot more and i use that mainly at 100yards and you get a real close sight picture there.

50 yds? Iron sights, or as we call them now BUS. 100 yds = Nikon makes a really nice .223 scope with their BDC recticle. My favorite though is any Leupold scope!

I have the Nikon Pro Staff Rim Fire BDC 150 3-9X40 on a Henry lever action .22 and it is a great combination.

i use center point 4x16's on all my target 22's hold zero never any problems--walmart has them for 69.95 cant beat them as far as im concerned my 10/22 can do dime size bullseyes at 100yds on a clear day

For a few extra bucks look at a Mueller APT 4.5 - 14x40 with mildot, its a pretty solid scope! :D

Here's what I'm running and it rocks pretty solid:

Millett 1-4 x 24 DMS Red-Dot Rifle Scope - $199
Millett Official
Priamry Arms

NC Star Convertible Cantilever Mount -$49
Rrages

Hope this helps!
