Fedral 550rd bulk pack 36g hp
____________________So far I have fired 2200rds of the stuff
Not one,,,, issue to report,,, the most rounds fired with out a full clean and lube is 550
mags ( "2" 25rd mags "1" short 10rd mag) have yet to be cleaned except for the externals
Rifle,,,,, Performance Center S&W M&P 15-22
I use this rifle and ammo for varmint and small game hunting, not paper punching so I don't have any groups to display as of yet. But the kill count is getting pretty high
This ammo is accurate enough that I have taken squirrels out at 100 yards with regularity
________________________PROBLEM
This ammo may as well be FMJ,,,, shot a rear facing squirrel and the round went threw the length of the body and kept on going,,,, shot was about 50 yards
Did some water test and it looks as thought the round could almost be reloaded,,,,, ""these rounds do not deform or expand as a HP should""
but I still use them any way due to the fact,,,, where else are u getting ammo this cheap that is accurate, reliable, and only mildly dirty
all in all I recommend this ammo for almost any semi auto .22lr,,, my sig mosquito love it and mini mags ONLY, walter P-22 will shoot any thing but Remington, the 10-22,,,,, well its a 10-22 LOL
Next I want a GSG5-PK for a very small SBR and I hope it too will like the Federal 550 bulk pack
Does any one else have any thing too add good or bad

Also went to $19.97 here, up a dollar -must be a nationwide increase.
I too like the stuff and use it exclusively. And I agree that it isn't much of a HP; I guess one could drill each one out, but that might take awhile.

Works good in my S&W 22A, Hi Standard Duramatic 101 I think, and most of the time in my Taurus PT-22. I was worried that bulk ammo might be slightly inferior or that hp's would be problematic in semi-autos, but I don't believe it is.
I want to try it out in my old Winchester model 190. It's been years since I've shot it and as I recall, it tended not to like hp's. I think there's a good chance it'll like this stuff.

My M&P15-22 (or should I say, my son's) has been fed the Federal 550 almost exclusively. My gun eats the stuff with with very few issues. I just called my local Walmart and they raised the price a dollar to $19.97 as well. Must be a nation wide thing. It's still a lot cheaper than the CCI Tactical which I also love. Thankfully I have plenty of each on hand.

I've been looking online and have found it for 17.99, but shipping kills the deal.

Walmart is raising their ammo pricing on everything. The have Federal 223 in ammo can that started at $140, then $150, now up to $160 in just a couple months! They are smart, they see how much people are buying and raise the price, because most people will keep buying!
On a side not I picked up a brick of CCI blazer 525 rounds at the gun show for $15! It's usually $20 for 500 in my neck of the woods. Couldn't pass it up. I wish they would have had more than one brick...

abolutely insane price bumping
Looks like there's an underlying reason for this. This is happening not because it costs more to make but rather the liberal quest to free us from our guns and 2nd amendment, PERIOD.

It's $19.97 here in Illinois also but still a bargain for what you get.

Where have you been for the last 2 years? The Federal Bulk Pack's went up 2 years ago from like $14.97 to $16.97, and early last year went up to $19.97.
Every once and ahwile Cabelas will have the 525 packs for about $15, I grab them up when they do.. But I'm running out of places to put them..
This is the ONLY .22lr ammo I shoot, I have a box of mini-mags and stingers which are both still in their plastic boxes because I've never had any need for them. The Federal Bulk packs work great in all my .22lr guns.

I just went through a box yesterday (my first box of these). My gun was dirty to start, and I only had 3 failures towards the end of the 550... I will be buying more

15/22 and Buckmark love Federals, only .22 that doesn't is my 10/22. Misfeeds and bends the bullet. Strange that the 10/22 perfers Rem GB's.
