Default Does your barrel wiggle?

After reading all the comments about compliant receiver and so on in another thread i tried to wiggle my barrel and it does wiggle, is this normal? I hope i did not jinx anything because my 15/22 is shooting just fine, pghrich

No, my barrel doesn't wiggle.

The barrel only, or the barrel & upper as an assembly?

I think i was wrong, the barrel isn't moving, its the quad rail i guess i got confused, thanks pghrich

I am going to order a shoowrench, its probaly a good idea to check it, after all i have many thousands of rounds thru it. A little prevenitive mantinance is a good thing, pghrich

You also want barrel blocks to hold the barrel in a vice. You can't simply hold the receiver and then tighten the barrel nut. That's a good way to twist the barrel in the receiver and crack the receiver. You need to watch these two videos before you start messing with the barrel nut:
