Brand new m&p 15-22 setup (incomplete) look!
New to the forum as well as the m&p15-22. Just purchased today. 3 xtra mags and a redfield revolution 3-9x40 scope. Waiting on a burris pepr mount for it. Bought so much the pawnshop guy threw me a truglo red/green dot to play around with. Love the weapon so far. Have yet to shoot it, but i cant wait. I also havea grip/bipod combo on the way as well. Whatcha think? Glad to be here on the forum, Nick.

Cool! Smart move to get extra mags right away. Okay, guys: who wants to be the first to tell our new friend to buy more ammo - lots and lots more ammo?
Welcome to the forum!

Three extra mags aren't nearly enough!
There's no such thing as too many magazines or too much ammo.

Haha thanks fellas i plan on buying much more ammo and mags. I would have gotten more but i bought them out. Im very anxious to go shooting. The tru glo grn/red dot sight he gave me is great btw sets up awesome with the irons. And a few more pictures of it with my chinese norinco sks.
Im also thinkin maybe side mount or undermount a laser for secondary sight source in front of a foregrip and bipod.
Cash is already spending in my thoughts i swear...lol

+1 for 44mag.com. I looked everywhere for the 25rnd mags only to find no one has them in stock but "promises" they are getting some "next week". After falling for that lie on three different sites, I cancelled my orders because I was tired if waiting. I ordered four mags from 44mag.com this morning for $17.99 each. Paid $5 shipping. Got an email an hour later saying my order shipped and it will be here Monday. $5 to ship something from OR to MN in thre days...not too bad!

M&p 15-22 updates
Mounted the redfield revolution with nikon's p-series mount n they are awesome n might i say look damn good as well 49.99 @ dicks sporting goods. Also, i never understood why the word fire is always red like its associated with "stop". Mines green, cause my fire means "go". Haha enjoy pics. Comments n feedback?
Also, as an experiment i used birthday candles to do the letters. It looks more faded than a true white which i like and more waxy which i think will stay longer? Be prepared for scrubbing after you cover it haha

If you have a manual for your 15-22 check it, i believe the wildcat stuff and remington ammo are on the list for not to use.

The way you mounted the scope is gonna suck when cleaning times comes around. Turn the mounts around so one isn't on the barrel

Only thing you did wrong was mount the rings backwards. You might have some issues holding zero because you have one ring on the handguards and one on the receiver. Those are Nikon tactical rings. The correct way to mount them is with the base to the rear of the scope ring part. This is so they can both be mounted on the receiver when you need extra eye relief, the same as a one piece tactical scope mount which Nikon also makes. Go the the Nikon site and see the video.

It is always red on a safety when the gun is capable of firing and some other color or none when the safety is on. If you hand that firearm to someone who does not know you could possibly have a shooting accident if they don't read what the color is saying. I would not want you to get in a situation where someone might accidentally shoot someone else or you.
Please do us serious shooters a favor and change the fire color on the safety to red so no one gets screwed up by it.

Not necessary. ALL of the upper moves, or is removed, as a single piece.

Gun looks good. But to your fire lettering I always say red is dead, so the green makes no sense and can confuse people. I'd would make it red again.

Lots of magazines = good idea. I'm currently at a "full battle load" of 7. We'll see how long that lasts.

Definitely. But then it always looked like you did, based on your original pics.

Forgive me for being tacky, but what else would you call a barrel with the end threaded?

The 15-22 accepts a standard trigger (FCG), so take your pick. You could well spend more than you paid for the rifle.
