I saw my black MOE model going for 20% more than I paid for if at a LGS the last gun show I went to.

Depends on if you want the standard or threaded barrel. I went with the MOE since it has everything I want on it.

Call your local gun shops to see what price they will give you before you go to the Show so you're prepared not to make a mistake paying too much.

You might want to check Walmart too. When I started looking in January they had them with plain barrel for $427. The guy at the gun counter said that was the only model they would be selling, and I wanted a threaded barrel, so I bought online.

One local shop here is selling the MOE version for $474, but they're out of it right now. The two shops that DO have it on stock are selling it for $559 and $539, which I think is ridiculous, so I'm waiting for the first shop to get it in.
I have found that every single new gun I've seen for sale at shows, that I can confirm pricing on, were much higher than I can buy locally. They must think people don't know prices.

thats why i dont want the newest! unless i can seriously talk them down. i have been reading looking and made a few phone calls so i have a good idea what prices are supposed to be.
I always thought gun shows were supposed to be good deals and discounted prices not rip offs.
should be interesting. hopefully a wad of cash can be convincing.

So, I am no longer rifle-less, and am now officially one of you. ;-) Let the upgrades begin!
