Front sight post
I'd like to find colored front sight post for my M&P1522.
I've searched the net and come up empty. I can find them
for the AK, SKS and a lot more, but none for the M&P.
Any ideas? Anyone have a bright orange front sight post?
Thanks
Dano

You can do this yourself easily if you want.
Stop at a hobby store and look at the "Testors" model paints. Here's a link: Testors Paint - Model Paints - Testors
These paints hold up exceptionally well. All kinds of colors too!

Don't know as I use sight paint when I want to do that (Glo-Brite Paint set from TruGlo). Recently installed a fiber-optic front sight blade in mine from HiViz (#AR2008). I like it.

I have one of those on my AK and was disapointed in it. I have
Hi-Viz on 2 other guns and they are great but the one made
for thr AR or AK is a disappointment. I may have to go with
one that has a tritium insert or go with the TruGlo paint
like uou sugested.
Thanks,
Dano

RE: Amazon sight inserts...
I also have these. excellent fit and I like the color selection. For that price, you can't go wrong.

How would you define 'worth it'?...
They install fine, I can see them, they don't fall out, they don't break.
Is your 15-22 worth it, since it's plastic and all?

I own a S&W 386 PD. It has a standard "V" rear adjustable sight and a Hi-Viz red front sight. I cannot find the correct sight picture with this combination. I can hit shots at 25 yards on a 12" target, but placement is not well grouped. I've tried putting the red dot "in" the V rear sight, and I've tried laying the dot just above the V, using the top of the dot base, level with the top of the V. What is the correct sight picture? I love my 386 PD, the carry weight and capacity and of course my favorite .357 cal. I'm pleased that I can hit 12" at 25 yds all with such a short barrel but feel I could do better if I wasn't guessing at the sight picture.
Can you provide any advice? Thanks.
