M&p 15 .22 extractor
Hello all, first post ever here. Proud owner of the mp 15 .22. Got mine a while back, fired over 10,000 rounds, and 99.99% perfect firing. Basicly no problems at all.
My question is, Has anyone ever fired this gun without the extractor? There is no problem with mine, but im just curious if anyone has ever tryed it without the extractor?

Without an extractor, your empty cases would stay in the chamber and your rifle would jam after every shot. That would be bad.
Do you mean without the ejector? Without that, I don't think the rifle would have enough force to eject a spent casing from the action, and you would get a lot of stove pipes. Also bad.

Most blowback action rimfires will still work without the extractor in the gun. Its main job is to get cases out that are still in the chamber, as in unfired rounds. The pressure of the round going off pushes the bolt back with the case and thus it will still hit the ejector to eject the case. However without the extractor to hold the case against the bolt as it is recoiling there is no guarantee the case will always go in the same direction, but it usually does.
Without the ejector no case will ever get ejected. It is the ejector hitting the case as it is pushing against the bolt that sends the round out the ejection port and nothing else.

Totally forgot about this being a blowback rifle. I was thinking of AR15s. I must have been tired.
