Default If your looking for a MOE FDE in stock (READ ME)

Hey guys

I recently got done looking for a M&P 15-22 MOE FDE for over 2 months. I was checking online, calling local stores, but no one seemed to have them in stock or knew when they would be in stock. I was getting frustrated till I got wind of a store down in Florida that might have them.

So if your looking for one as well here are some things that may help you find one easier.

1. Check online, gunbroker.com has a few of them cycling through. I got caught up waiting for budsgunshop.com to get them in, when they finally did it was only available to VIP members and gone in a few hours. You can also try:
palmettostatearmory.com
budspolicesupply.com
gandrtactical.com
Theses are usually out of stock however.

2. Check your local stores, call them up or go in. I got put on a watch list at my local dealer. This was one of the faster ways to get one. A week later he called me telling me he got one in, but I was out of town. He sold it later that same day.

3. If your getting frustrated, google gun stores. ones all over the country, many can ship them, just remember there is an additional fee for shipping and the FFL transfer fee. Avg. of $55 bucks (Tax does not always apply for state to state purchases.)

I got mine when I called up Shooters of Jacksonville. With a military discount I got it for $540 plus tax. A decent price considering the rarity of these at times. Not only did they have one, they had 4, and a new shipment had just arrived as well! They had an awesome store just packed out with all the good tactical stuff guys like us love. They don't list them online, but if you call them they don't mind shipping it to you, and you can buy over the phone.

Anyways I hope this helps those of you who are looking to buy. I found that black MOEs are much more common, and the stock 15-22s are all over the place. (Including Walmart) But you probably already know that.

Good luck!

-Tim

(PS: Feel free to add to this if anyone knows other or better ways, thanks.)

I got lucky getting my FDE M&P15-22. My local dealer who is also a S&W distributor ordered one for me and a week later it was in his shop. I had anticipated waiting several weeks or even months but Smith just happened to have some in their vault when my dealers order came in. I've owned a few M&P 15-22s and this one is by far my favorite. They are out there and as the OP states you just have to search for one.
