So what you are saying is that I should put no faith in Doomsday Tactical's project because he mentioned it in an internet forum?
I am certainly disappointed with some comments on this particular forum...

I believe what CP was saying was that on internet forums, it is not uncommon to recieve bugus/misinformed/flat out incorrect information.

Rome wasn't built in a day.
Anyhow, wasn't a member of this forum developing a 15-22 specific BAD lever a while back? Did that ever happen, or did I miss the release party?
Now back to our regularly scheduled program.....................

SBR Lever
I believe that's what you're looking for. Anyways, I don't mind waiting another year. All I care about is that when it's released, I can get my hands on 1 or 2

But we are not emperors. Pretty sure the peasants weren't kept in the loop.

Damn
I didn't "read the last page of the book" and went through all 17 pages, building up excitement to land on this page with no video. Depressing. Guess I will subscribe to this thread for updates. First post. Love my 15-22

To quote myself:
"Anyhow, wasn't a member of this forum developing a 15-22 specific BAD lever a while back? Did that ever happen, or did I miss the release party?"
I found it. It was the Juvicator B.A.D. Lever. I did a little forum search and discovered that he posted in June that his son was diagnosed with cancer. Obviously that takes precedence over everything.
We have no way of telling what the delay in this mag development is, but sometimes life happens and less important things get pushed to the back burner. Time will tell.

But do you think they were kept up to date as to when it would be completed? Or were they told to work work work, until they're told to stop?
All said and done, we are just an interested party with nothing invested and have no real cause to expect regular updates.

Kinda sounds like our federal government.... No word of progress being made, so in the meantime we just argue amongst ourselves. It's all in fun, though. I guess we have to have something to do while we wait.

my advice is the promag magizines work just like the factory mags made by magpul and i would suggest the promag 32 as my second choice the 35 round tactical plinker requires some gunsmithing they are ok but require some take off at the feeder part of the mag to get them to function properly they have to be filed down to where you can take your thumb to the back of the shell and unload the mag without your thumb slideing over top of the shell and clean the feeder part of the mag up with some steel wool inside and out then the tactical plinker will funtion out every round you send through your mp15/22 this i learned from experience of tactical plinker mags get out the file or sandpaper entirely to much plastic where you load the mag at the back location of the hull needs to stand up enough to catch the shell to send it into the chamber flawlessly.look close to compare the way the shell sits in your factory mag then adjust the tactical plinker to a perfect match to bad tactical plinker cant make this adjustment in there factory so the consumer dont have to make the repair.

As of Noon today, we in Connecticut cannot buy any of DT's magazines, if they ever see the light of day.
As of Noon today we are restricted to buying 10-round magazines only. We can keep our larger capacity magazines, but they have to be registered with the Connecticut State Police by 01 JAN 2014. They can contain no more than 10 rounds, unless we are in our own home or at a shooting range (not just out in the boonies at someone's property). This ends carrying fully loaded magazines to the range.
The only good part of the new law is tactical .22s are removed from the assault weapons classification and we are no longer limited to "compliant" models of 15-22s.

i feel your pain
sorry for your circumstances...now you live under the specter of
"...you only had 10 shots available in an 11 shot gunfight..."
i've never once heard of anyone complain of having too much ammo after a dynamic lethal encounter...

Hey Majorlk,
We are in rough times. But that last bit was interesting. Can we unpin our stocks now?

That's what the experts are saying. .22s are no longer, as of yesterday, assault weapons so the old rules are out the window.

from what i read in your post, you can only load 10 rounds in a gun that you are able to carry outside your home.but you can load more than 10 rounds in a gun thats inside your house for defence?so if you have a 30 round magazine, are you able to have it fully loaded inside your home for home defence?if thats the case at least they let you keep them fully loaded at home(not that you shouldnt be able to carry them fully loaded in public with a CCW permit).

The problem is that anything over 10 rounds is now illegal to buy or import into Connecticut. Existing large capacity magazines are grandfathered in but they have to be registered by 01 JAN 2014.
Doesn't matter where we want to use them, DT's magazines are illegal in Connecticut as of 04 April 2013

Indeed! I am buying up all kinds of accessories while waiting for the news. Latest acquisition: Tacticool22 charging handle. A MUST have ... (as if all the other accessories are not!)

How can something that doesn't exist be illegal?

Prototypes exist ... at least they did a few months ago.
Since we have not heard anything for several months, I can only conclude that something has happened to DT.

No need to delete/lock the thread, just don't open it. Plenty of threads die for a while and are then resurrected (as evidenced by your post).

Well I'm back folks. It's been a long and stressful 11 months with no good news on my high cap mags. I've just read all remarks since the last time I've logged on here. I thought everything with manufacturing was going to go well at the time that I gave time frames. I even planned on showing a video of my hard work but I couldn't. I'm not here to ask for sympathy just want for all of you to hear me out. I put alot of my hard earned money into getting the molds made. I even had an investor who jumped ship 2 weeks before molds were suppose to be completed. It put in a hard spot with the molds so I did what I had to do to finish what I started. We had 50 sets made and while testing the mags ran into many issues with jamming/feeding issues. Since the mags were ultrasonically welded it was difficult to shave material off of the interior to allow for the rounds to feed up correctly. We then had material shaved on the mold to fix the issue. Then we had 10 made and tested this time they weren't aligning right and made things very frustrating. To those who dont know about molds, once material is cut on the tooling material you can not replace it. So this means you start from square one again and even more money needed to have new molds made. Of course I through in all my chips at once at the beginning with placed me in a situation to contact new investors. There was a total of 178 people who sent me their emails for the mags, which I thank you all of you for showing support. I talked to about 6 investors from 01/2013 to 5/2013 in which they all told me they feel there is going to be a Ban on high cap mags and they are not going to waste money to loss it under a ban. Of course this would frustrate anyone who placed alot of time in design, prototyping, and failed molds. I'm determined to get these out to market and decided to go ahead and start my company with parts I designed prior to the mags to help me get the funding for the mags. In closing I apologize for not keeping everyone up to date with things I just needed time to gather myself and push forward. I thank you to all my supports and understand it will happen but now for now I have to go with what I can control. Since I'm not a vendor on this site I will not post my website information but I did see people have.
Best Regards,
Eric

I'm happy to hear your still working toward your goal. Most would have given up.

It's good to know you haven't dropped off the face of the earth, but so sorry to read of the difficulties you have had.
Even though anything over 10 rounds is now illegal to sell here in Connecticut, and several other states, I do hope you you bring out a successful product for the rest of the country.

Just curious. In light of the fact that since this thread started, S&W has shut down other 3rd party manufacturers of magazines for the 15-22, I'm wondering if you should proceed? Especially since you state publicly you copied their work.

DITTO!!! And in light of the present state of availability in the current market, would completely understand a price increase. I'm not suggesting any price point to you...but a high cap(50) mag...I'd pay 50-75.

It's good to hear from you Eric, and I hope you are able to overcome the problems and bring this to market soon.
You can count me as a potential customer. Good luck!
