Natchez seems ok looking at my last order from them it was for 10 box of 50cts.
It was 11 for shipping and 3.99 handling.
Its really not bad since they have to have someone to ship all this stuff.
I got a email from staff saying that they didn't have but 5 and what would I like to do. I asked if they could toss in some glock 19 15rd mags since it showed in stock. And they did
Just think of all the wasted gas and your time..

Just FYI I know that some of the guns stores (atleast big ones like Gander Mt.) hold some .22lr in back for people who buy .22s. Mite be able to talk someone into letting you get some. I bought 1575 rounds of Rem Goldens when i got my 15-22 couple of weeks ago and they didnt have anything on the floor. They informed me that they keep some in reserve for new gun purchases. Hope it helps someone

Was that LR? right now they only show .22 long in stock and I should have received an "in stock" email on the long rifle- but I did not.

I think that is a good policy. Really sucks to buy a new gun and can't get ammo to even sight it in.
I wish suppliers would give long time customers who have spent a lot with them first crack...I got one of the "in stock" emails Saturday from Midway and minutes later it was gone.
Perhaps bought by someone new to them never to return...and I've spent thousands there over the years

I emailed CCI to ask what is going on. A nice rep answered my email within a day. He claimed production is at normal speed and the hoarding problem is what is keeping ammo off the shelves.
He also noted that shows such as History Channel's "Preppers" is adding to the problem since most preppers are advocating having 50,000 to 100,000 rounds of ammo on hand.
All of which makes sense except it begs the point as to where the hoarders and preppers are buying their ammo.

Most likely, the same places you and I do. The difference being preppers are often willing to allocate a larger percentage of what they earn to spend on prep items than perhaps you or I would.

i think the problem is gougers more than hoarders. i have always tried to keep like 20,000 rounds on hand but since all this stupidity started there are people finding these sales, buying it all up and selling it for 2-3 times what they pay for it so they can buy even more next time. the cheaper ammo such as .22lr and 9mm are getting hit so hard because a lot of people ran out and bought a **** load of those caliber weapons when ammo went up thinking they would save money on ammo when they actually just created an even larger demand for cheap ammo so gougers can hit you even harder in the wallet and causing a panic of ammo hunters to near instantly clean out any supplier with ammo. if people were not gouging on prices i dont think there would be such a panic. i know i didnt really hoard .22 ammo until this all started and the stuff went up to 80 per brick at stores in my area. now i buy up all i can find (for a decent price) and then re sell it to my friends for just enough to cover shipping.

Oh well

I would not get carried away with all the hype. I just checked all my walmarts and they all now have Federal 45s 38s 9mms and WWB9mms I am seeing more ammo come in. Paying 20 cents a round for 22lr is the fool and his money. And as I looked for Wolf ammo I did not see the lines of people trying to buy it up. It actually went on the shelf.

Nice to see they worked with ya on it!
Their shipping is actually based on published UPS prices (even their catalogs state that). Maybe not what we all wanna see considering other sites may have reduced freight, but at least on my order with delivery to my residence it was right on. I may not want to keep them as my main source, but i sure wont spend my time and money (both valuable to me) driving all around the area "hoping" i can get something. I'm more concerned with those selling the actual product at greatly increased costs, then the few extra bucks on freight. just my .02

DozerDave - My boss could not give a **** about ammo. With his income, he does not even have any idea what the price is. He has people for that. Actually got by a Walmart at 8:15 because the snow caused school closings. Already sold out of all 22 they had. Saw 2 guys buying the last of the 9mm. Suppossedly they will not start selling until 9 from now on....
8up - Yep not sure why TN is on the banned list. I did not see NY on it.

Got an order from Lucky Gunner of the Centurion. There were 8 in stock when starting order. When finished, there were 2. Hit refresh, then there were none. I only ordered one. Left some for others.

academy
I've had pretty good luck at academy. They seem to get ammo daily, and there are people getting in line around 6am (store opens at 8am). I've gone a couple times around 8:15 and been able to get a box of 100 and a box of 325. I've seen people walk out with the 1400 rd buckets but you have to get there real early for that. Academy has a limit of 1 box per caliber, so that helps. Also their prices seem to be near normal ($15 for 325). I heard the 1400 rd bucket was ~$60 so that's near $0.04 per round.
I just wish the hoarders would back off and let things get back to normal, that would help a lot with availability.

I think the biggest problem is people buying and then doing a gouged resale. I have seen this in several instances. One time i was in walmart and they had 420 rd cans of lake city 5.56. The guy in front of me was buying his limit of 3 and basically bragging about how he owned a pawn shop and resaleing them. I got last case. He made me mad but that stuff is going on everywhere. It is not just the regular folks buying for themselves....like me cause i am not buying anymore

Natchez has a wholesale division (Actually I think it is the Wholesale business has Natchez for online/catalog) they don't sell to contiguous states that way they are not competing with the dealers who buy from their wholesale store.

I managed to score a couple of cases of ammo at the sporting goods store this morning. As I was putting it in the trunk of my car, I was approached by an attractive young lady. She struck up a conversation about how she supports the second amendment, loves to go to the gun range, and the like. Then she shocked me by asking if I would be interested in bartering sex for ammo. Once I regained my composure, I said OK, what kind of ammo do you have? She left.

I was able to pick up 750 rounds of CCI AR Tactical for $23 per 375 rounds at palmetto state armory a couple days ago. I got a notification this morning that they shipped.
I used gunbot.net to follow the in stock ammo to grab these boxes.

Those Centurion cases go for 189 retail, wholesale, depending on # of cases go for 130 to 150 during reg times. If your paying 65 for 500 you might be better buying US MADE ammo for same price off gunbroker. Not trying to stir the pot but dont like good peeps getting taken for a ride..
