The Federal Game-Shok Rimfire selection covers just about everything you can think of. #12 bird shot round is great for pests but it is not designed to cycle in semi-automatic firearms.

That's rat shot (useless on birds, or anything else over 15 feet away) not solid bullets. It only works in revolvers, bolt and lever actions. Totally useless in a 15-22 or any other semi-automatic, pistol or rifle.

I think I killed a snake in the water with one of those shotshells. Just had to manually shake the bullet casing out.

Yes you could call it subsonic, and yes it will not cycle in your 15-22. You will have to cycle the charging handle on every round if you can get it to extract the case and load another round.
