Default Plinking Targets

Anybody have experience using this Impact Seal Target (hotbox or ball)?

Got the Do All Big Gong, 22lr will barely move it, clear penetration holes. Looks like it will hold up for a lot of hits. Probably more suited to larger calibers.

I have a couple like the Caldwell. You want to make sure you follow the instructions and DON'T go over what ever Cal. it is rated for. Some are 22 only and others will handle up to 45acp. When my old ones wore out,I set them out to 200 yards and 5.56/223 will eat them alive.

I prefer to buy items like that sight on and be able to see what I'm getting.

Aluminum cans make great plinking targets.

I make regular trips to Red Racks, Salvation Army, and other local thrift stores and look for cheap brass, tin, aluminum, steel, and even plastic trays.

Drill a hole in them, use some string and attach them to a line strung between two trees.

Inexpensive and work great.

I got one of these from a LGS.
Amazon.com: Birchwood Casey Gallery .22 Rimfire Resetting Target: Sports & Outdoors@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41WkGZADxSL.@@AMEPARAM@@41WkGZADxSL

After trying several different brands and styles, this one is my favorite. The others either don't function reliably, have thin plates that bend, or are too light and just tip over.

You just have to make sure the pivoting legs are pointing straight towards the shooter and slid all the way up. It gets bad reviews from people who can't look at the picture for reference.

Two is a lot more fun than one. You can race your friends, or go back and forth between targets. Get a can of white or yellow paint if you get a steel target. Those orange stickers are a joke IMO.

Last time I looked, you could get those at Bimart for about $30. They work well.
