So im toying around with this idea of making a custom made skeleton stock for the 15-22, and want to know what you think. Here is the plan turn a solid rod of billet to fit the inside diameter of the tube that already exists then stop and match it to the outside diameter of the buffer tube, keep it in place with two set screws through the holes that lock in the collapsible stock, bend a piece of conduit for the lower bar wrap the front in thin aluminum and mold a but plate(havent figured that out yet). Any ideas? i just dont like the idea of permanent changes i like to change this bad boy about every two weeks.

Me I would do it this way. Buy an Ace Skeleton stock. Disassemble it and have someone machine a cutout in the buffer tube cover that would allow it to slide on around the molded in tube of the 15-22. Then drill 2 holes for crossbolting the cover to the 15-22 buffer tube and bolt it on. Cover with the foam tube and you are done. Would look a whole lot better than doing it your way.

ive never seen one in person, so maybe that will be my first step.

I thought about it some more and that won't work. But I think I may have an idea in another direction.
