But TrueShot has nothing to help the OP with what he wants to do. If your ps was directed to me, I have nothing to do with TactiCool except being a satisfied customer.

FWIW, I talked to Jody at TactiCool a few minutes ago and his web site is down. No ETA for it to be back up.

Jody does not have hand guards. What he has are the parts necessary to convert your rifle to use a third party hand guard.

I also wanted mine to look and handle like my AR15 as a trainer.
I used the tacticool22 handguard adapter, vice blocks and barrel wrench; true shot technologies front sigh; AR15 barrel nut, delta ring assembly and handguard cap; magpul moe mid-length handguards.
It looks like true shot has a handguard cap that is machine to fit on the 15-22 barrel exactly. I used a standard AR15 one. In either case, I would tap the gas tube hole on the A2 front sight and then install a screw to hold the handguard cap to the sight.

Trueshot has the front sight, I have the barrel nut converter.
I will have a complete kit soon, with a "Gas Block" instead of a front sight. Will that be a deal maker or a deal breaker?
All you will have to supply is the 2 piece hand guards.
Website is back up. (Thanks I.T. guy)

Yes. All you will have to provide is the 2 piece hand guards you want an AR Armorers wrench and an Allen wrench. The 15-22 barrel nut wrench, barrel vise jaws, converter nut, converter nut wrench, delta ring assembly and front sight "gas block" assembly with hand guard cap.
