Rimfire Action Targets

Curious if anyone else uses the rimfire steel targets from Action Target? I use the dueling tree & the plate rack, that use the 4" paddles and am waiting on the final part of my bullseye before I use it. So far I am completely impressed. Everything seems very heavy duty & very well made. The dueling tree is an absolute blast, either shooting by yourself or used to compete with another shooter to see who can clear their side 1st.

I had an 8-flag (four on each side) dueling tree that I foolishly sold a few years ago when I wasn't shooting very much. It was custom made and could handle most centerfire pistol rounds.

Anything that moves, makes a noise or explodes when hit is SO much more fun than punching holes in paper. One of my favorites is frozen potatoes. :D
 
That looks like more fun then the AR 500 Jumping Target I purchased. I went with the larger target for future use and that makes it less reactive with the .22 caliber.

They are a bit of work,but water ballons are good. I made some long range flippers out of steel at work. Beats paper punching.
 
Walmart has a couple of hard rubber targets (forgot the name..) in blaze orange that can take quite a pounding and have a nice bounce.Kind of like shooting tin cans without having to clean up the mess.

balloons are great for kids. immediate feedback and cheap at the dollar store. Ice targets are good too. make them from cupcake pans with some food coloring and put in a cooler on the way to the range. no clean up is the best!
 
I usually load up a day pack with a few pistols,ammo,the orange thing and hike a few miles back into the national forest.Makes for a fun day.
 
I purchased the 22lr and the 44/45 dueling tree made by action Targets. Purchased them both at the same time from Brownells, they dropped shipped them for $13.00,I purchased them at Thanksgiving /Black Friday and that got me another 10%. The targets are well made, I have shot 1to 2 thousand rds at each,never making a mark in the steel,just removes the paint,they frame is tilted forward for bullet deflection and/or gravity to completely reset each target when hit. I do have a target not completely reset every once in a while,most of the time the vibration of the others being hit will reset the other. My only complaint with both targets is the base,very cheap,and not well though out.They have a few thin metal legs the will sink in the dirt with the angle/weight of the target. My fix was to weld a angle Iron square frame around the existing legs and then filled it with concrete,the 22RF has 2, 80lb bags and the larger 44/45 has 3, 80lbs bags of Ready Mix. It has made a solid base PLUS prevent anyone from permently borrowing them,I can supply pictures if interested.
 
I have one of these and love it.

I just happen to live right down the street so was able to pick it up from the factory.

Sure makes ya go through ammo though ;)
 
I have the rimfire dueling tree and love it! Very well built and have even shot it with a 9mm a few times! I will definitely buy from them again :D

Inexpensive and much better made than the cheap ones from Walmart that won't last a single outing to the range. This one from Champion take's a beating and continues to work. Just a little wd-40 and some new spray paint on the targets occasionally and you're good to go. Lot's of fun.
