Try the Lucid first, then try it with the 2x. I have a Gen II w/the2x and it will take up a lot of rail space.
With the extra weight and complexity of a 3x add on, I don't see you really gain much, especially on a .22 LR.
Save the money, shoot the heck out of it and you will find your next purchase will be an M&P 15.
I have both rifles, both MOE versions, and have a Lucid as well. I found that I have a preference for my Burris AR332 on my M&P 15 (sorry, modern sporting rifle) and a simple Burris Fastfire III for my M&P 22. The Lucid is a great optic, but I went with the Burris optics on both. My son, who has an CORE AR loves the Lucid.
