NDZ Performance - Tactical Latch Issue
I ordered a bunch of stuff from NDZ Performance that arrived yesterday. My boys convinced me to "Zombie Hunter" out the rifle. I was really surprised oh how quick the order came. I picked up a latch, charging handle, mag catch and release button.
The extended tactical latch for the charging handle doesn't lock to the receiver when it is pushed all the way forward. Thinking I didn't put it on right, I compared it to the factory and the hook is not as long as the factory.
I bought this specific to the 15-22 but it seems that it is either not compatible or they sent the wrong one? Anyone else here use this latch from NDZ? Maybe I am missing something? I also noticed it didn't come with the spring so I also had to use the factory spring.
Thanks!

First, you didn't post a photo of the latch installed in the charging handle. Neither did you post a photo of the latch not engaging the upper receiver. That said I have them on three rifles and all fit fine. Give the folks a call at NDZ and discuss the problem with them.
Yes, you have to use the factory spring.

I sent NDZ an email but considering it's the weekend I wasn't expecting a reply until at least Monday.
I will take side by side photos of the the latches for references.

Here are some photos I took:
Charging Handles appear to be identical in size (as I imagined):
Here is the side by side comparison: NDZ on left, factory on right:
As you can see, the factory latch hook is slightly taller.
This is the NDZ latch installed: You can see the hook sitting on top of the block instead of latching onto it.
Here is the factory latch: You can see how it goes beyond the block and locks when forward.

NDZ did contact me and after a few photos emailed, it is an incorrect latch. I received a Tactical Latch and not the specific 15-22 latch. Getting a return ship label and new part shipped today. Great Company to deal with! Thanks Dan!

Not that it's too late but, you shoulda picked up their 'SBR' lever also.
I believe they have it in a ZH model, too.

That'll be the next upgrade. Just picked up the CMC Curved Trigger and KNS Precision Pins from LGS and will be installing that this afternoon. Can't wait to take her out to the range.

They are really good people to do business with. Excellent customer service ... like most of the vendors on this forum.
