Any UK 15-22 owners on here ?
Hey guys n gals
Just wondered if there are any 15-22 owners in the UK ?
Or when my FAC comes through will I be the only one ?
Hopefully there are some more Brit shooters on here

Probably from the US.
Just kidding. You guys have tough gun laws over there so I am curious as to the rules on the 15-22.

Hi Raj,
Yes indeed, another UK 15-22 owner here. I've had mine for a couple of years now and have added all sorts, both internally and externally, to it in this time. Since I got mine, my dad has replaced his GSG5 with a 15-22, and we've also procured one as a club-owned gun for our club members' use in mini-rifle comps - they're certainly popular fun/action guns, and I know of at least another couple having been bought by club members within the last 6 months.

I didn't know what a FAC was, so I just looked it up. You people in the UK sure have to go through a lot to own a gun. I hope you get one and really enjoy it.

Another UK 15-22 owner here Raj.
Yeah Lorelei a FAC is a reasonable amount of red tape but not tough to get really. Oh and .22LR and 12g are the only semi's we are allowed.

I'm not going to say I take my freedom to walk into a gun store anytime I want to and buy any gun I can afford for granted because I don't. I will say I have it so much easier in this area and you guys just make me appreciate it all the more.

That I believe is what is important, not taking it for granted.

I'm curious, are you guys in the UK having problems getting 22 ammo as many shooters in the colonies are finding? How are your prices?

Hello Bush Pilot, Ammo in UK for .22 is hit and miss, some gun shops have short supplies and are awaiting restocking from the UK importer. The club I belong to has justed restocked.
We will now pay £7.50 ($11.25) per 100 for Mini Mag. At Christmas the cost was £6.80 ($10.20) per 100. You can get cheaper ammo, but it won't cycle in semi autos, but ok for Bolt action.

I use Winchester Super X mostly and that costs me £7.25 per 100. Supplies are variable at times. We are also limited to how much we can buy and hold depending on what is on our FAC's.

Blazer 50r .22LR boxes are £2.50 each where I shoot on Tuesdays, but Remington .22LR is £4.50 for 50 where I shoot on Friday

Your authorities would probably have a heart attack if they saw the contents of my two ammo lockers ...

You're probably right Majorik; my .22 allowance is 5.5K to hold (5K max to acquire at a time), and that appears to be quite a high amount according to fellow club members.
Now, actually finding 5K of CCI here at the moment is another thing altogether...
