I got mine here in concord for$24. I bought it for my wife. They only had one left. I couldn't believe the price was that low. I paid full price for mine last year.

I am so gutted. I have one on order from Midway UK. Cost me £66 GBP. Not sure on conversion but to dollars but am thinking somewhere round 80 plus USD. I just hope it works well for that!

I have seen the price tags on Centre fire so am kinda prepared for that. When the time comes. However what I failed to factor in was the super inflated prices for us poor Brits this side the pond for all the extra add ons.

Gotta love the fact that our trans Atlantic cousins have such a good deal price wise for those added extras that now mean so much extra cost this side. Lol.

That all being said, it is a choice we make to do these things. And I believe, right or wrong, live or die by the choices you make.

So I guess I'll die happy but skint! (Poor for the translation ) lol

slingholm: agreed, good to see KC area peeps. They get 22LR on Saturday typically, usually limited to 2 50rd boxes.

Am surprised you guys are still struggling with ammo. I have yet to come across a problem with buying 22. I have been able to go to shops and buy 500 at a time ( max allowance on my ticket at this time ) on a Monday then again on a Tuesday. Doesn't seem to be a problem this side of the pond. Though to be fair. No where near so many shooters her than you guys have that side. That being said you guys do have a much bigger industry geared up for the shooter.

Get what you can when you can and enjoy as much as you can.

Non-US ammo (Eley etc.) has not usually been a problem, but if you'd been trying to buy any CCI over the previous year/18 months, you'd have noticed the difficulties. At one time my dealer had CCI Blazer on order for a year without any availability, but it seems to have gotten a lot better recently (scored 2K of Blazer and 500 MiniMags in my last visit, bringing my cabinet back up to its 5.5K max )

For the KC guys there is also an Academy Sports at 119th and Blackbob on the SW side of OP.

I live in the KC area and did not know we had an Academy. Where is it located? Seems like there are a lot of us from KC!

Was in Forrest Lodge recently. He had 5k in slabs on counter. Just arrived. As I had popped in on off chance I hadn't taken my ticket so couldn't partake. :-(. Lesson learnt. Always take ticket now whenever I anywhere near dealer.

After an email query today I was informed by MidwayUK that the US export had lapsed and they were waiting for it to be renewed and they then refunded my money. no warning nothing, so now back to the beginning and no handle.

possibly some ray of sunshine on the horizon and at least the wife is now talking to me again....

what to do what to do.... wait or .....wait!!! lol
