I have had good luck with the M&P 15-22 adapter and the M&P 22 pistol adapter for the Lightnin Grip loader. I am having trouble with the Ruger SR22 adapter. It loads a lot harder than the other types of magazines.Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem.

I don't mind loading my mags by hand, but I'm still interested.
I had a Butler Creek loader for my 10/22 mags. I threw it in the garbage because it would dent every bullet when loading.
Is that an issue with this setup?

Not with 15-22 mags. Only leaves a small mark on the projectile. It must press on the head of the bullet to force it in the mag.

So far I have gotten down below 10 seconds on a 15-22 25 rd mag, slightly faster on a BDM 25 rd mag (I think the spring and follower move slicker than the S&W mag). No issues with the loader pressing on the end of the bullet even with Win 222 HP rounds.

My plan was to try it out over the weekend.
However my buddy's 11 year old son saw it while we were setting up at our range.
The result was I never got to use it.
He loaded every mag for us.
I watched him a few times and it was working like a champ.

I got one for my M&P 15 22 and one for my M&P 22. This is a bad time for 22s to be in short suppy!

Talked to the people at McFaden and said they are at the prototype stage for a couple of adapters for the BX-25. You can email them and they will put you on a list when the adapters are available.
This thing works flawlessly with my M&P 15-22 factory 25-round mags. Also works perfect with my Butler Creek 25-round, plastic lipped 10/22 mags.
It loads one bullet for each squeeze, whereas the Butler Creek reloader would not load a bullet with each turn of the crank. I watched the Butler Creek get loaded with their own speed loader and the follower did not consistently move in the mag, whereas, this new reloader moves with every pull of the trigger.
Also, I had to reverse the Butler Creek crank when it stuck for some reason.
IMHO

I just received my loader with adapters for the 15-22 & M&P22. With a single range visit both work well as expected. I fear the retainer clips that hold the mags into the adapters will eventually wear causing the user to have to hold the mag in place. Time will tell and I sure hope I am wrong. Either way so far so good and no regrets.

Hi Rob, We can ship to the UK. Shipping cost is calculated once we know what you want to order. Not sure why I didn't receive the email.

I got mine in earlier in the week. It works okay..not as smooth and fast as I'd like. I have to hold down the assist to get them to feed well.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Well I went ahead and ordered one for my 15-22. However, it sure would be nice if they could get an adapter for the factory Ruger 10/22's worked out. Especially the 25's. Maybe they can work it out.

Interesting. I can't get the website to come up. Even googled the company name which gave me the site but it can't load it. I'll try again in a day or two to see what's going on.

Just ordered one of these for the 15-22 and M&P22. Have had great success with the Cliploader for the Buckmark.
OP, thank you for the heads up.

Black Dog sells the McFadden loader as well. From the Black Dog website:
"S&W Drum- S&W M&P15.22 adaptor DOES NOT WORK- Ammo will not feed into drum. It WILL work in the factory S&W magazine."

How do the shells all turn in the right direction in the loader tube? Do we have to line them up? I just now placed my order for my 15-22.

They just do. A little shakey, shakey and viola. Google it, or the ultimate clip loader. Lots of videos of it.

Just a little nomenclature nit picking ...
Shotguns use/shoot shells.
Pistols and rifles use/shoot cartridges - excepting muzzle loaders, of course.

Good for you! Bullets are the pointy things in the end of the cartridge cases.

So I decided to see what Blackdog meant when they said the ammo won't feed into the drum using the McFadden loader. It turns out the rim gets caught on the feed lips. The feed lips on the Blackdog mags are a little longer (front to back) than on the S&W. I filed the lips back a little bit at a time until I got the loader to push rounds into Blackdog drum.

If you order from McFadden you don't get a tracking number, but it ships fairly quickly.
If you order from Blackdog, you do get a tracking number. They also ship quickly.

I ordered Friday afternoon late (Sep 5th) so i am sure they didn't process it until Monday the 8th. I Emailed them last night after not hearing anything after initial email. A lady emailed me back a tracking number this morning. Tracking info indicates it wasn't actually picked up until Wednesday morning. Expected delivery is Saturday morning the 13th. The lady that answered my email said she was off Monday and dropped it off at P.O. Tuesday. Oh well, she did answer my email quickly.

I bought mine last Saturday; so it probably didn't ship till Monday either. I haven't received it as of yet on Fri the 12th. I'm hoping for tomorrow.

If something is going to screw up; I'm going to get it. I can't get the head to latch in the bottom latch on the loader. I finally got it to latch, but I'd hate to have to change it very often. They're not easiest thing to load the magazines, but it does get the job done.

Received my loader yesterday, and works great
I purchased the 15-22 and Ruger SR22 adapters. The loader works extremely well on both adapters. Money well spent!!

I ordered mine from McFadden on Friday 9/12 and received it Wednesday 9/17.
Not as slick as the Ruger .22 pistol loader but works well enough. Certainly beats the heck out of one round at a time.

mine was tight too at first but i loosened up after a couple of head swaps. you could always take a knife a remove a bit of material to make it easier.

I ordered mine on the 24th (3 days ago) and got it today. I got the 15-22 and the M&P22 adapters. Worked great on the 15-22. Jammed once on the pistol magazine but was very easy to unjam. This thing is worth every penny.

Finally got mine ordered today!!!!
What can I say, MAN these guys are HELPFUL !!!!!!!
contacted, confirmed ordered and shipped in about 25 mins all in.
NOT BAD for a Trans-Atlantic order.
looking forward to having it arrive in due course ( with a little luck approx 1 week from today )
save my lil ol fingers from that thin greasy oil like coating from the RWS and Eley ammo.

So tried out the loader in readiness for some Lane time tomorrow. 10 mags full in no time at all and no oily film on my fingers and thumbs.
Was a little stiff to begin with but once set up and working. Flawless!!!!
Once again, VERY impressed with Company and the product.
Highly recommended product.
